    摘要： A pressure lever includes an oscillating edge that is capable of contacting a supporting shaft of a pressure roller. An oscillating lever includes a plurality of oscillating edges around a fixed edge. An elastic unit is latched between the fixed edge of the oscillating lever and an immovable portion, and biases the oscillating lever towards one of the rollers. A position of the fixed edge of the oscillating lever is capable of being changed in a state of being deviated from a position before oscillating based on an oscillating position of the oscillating lever separately from an oscillation of the fixed edge.

    摘要： A fixing device having an endless fixing belt configured to convey a sheet-like medium on which a toner image is to be fixed, heating and fixing rollers having the fixing belt wound thereon, and a pressing roller disposed opposite to the fixing roller having fixing belt wound thereon to form a nip portion between the fixing belt and pressing roller. The fixing device also including first to third heaters provided in the heating, pressure and fixing rollers respectively, and first to third voltage applying devices configured to apply voltages to the first to third heaters respectively. The nip portion is configured to perform the fixing only by pressure contact between said fixing and pressing rollers via said fixing belt.

    摘要： A Z-axis magnetic field gradient coil structure for producing a desired magnetic field gradient without increasing the electrical resistance of conductors forming a coil pattern. The coil structure comprises a flexible insulative substrate to be wound on a cylindrical bobbin. The substrate is several times as long as the circumference of the bobbin. The coil pattern is formed on the substrate by etching techniques and comprises pairs of conductive strips and conductive interconnectors for interconnecting these strips. The pairs of conductive strips are symmetrical with respect to the central line of the pattern.

    摘要： A facsimile terminal communicates facsimile data with an opposite facsimile terminal through an ISDN circuit. Even if the communication speed of the facsimile terminal is different from that of the opposite terminal, the facsimile terminal can surely exchange the facsimile data with the opposite terminal. The facsimile terminal includes a transmission and reception unit for transmitting and receiving data to and from the opposite terminal through the ISDN circuit, a receiving condition judging unit for judging or determining whether or not the transmission and reception unit receives data normally. The facsimile terminal also includes a speed switching instruction unit for providing a speed switching instruction when the transmission and reception unit does not normally or successfully receive data. In addition a speed switching control unit is provided for switching the communication speed of the transmission and reception unit from one speed to another according to the speed switching instruction.
