    Abstract: A compound having a ligand LA of Formula I, is disclosed. In Formula I, ring B is a 5-membered or 6-membered ring; K is a direct bond, O, or S; X is O, S, Se, NR, CRR′, SiRR′, or GeRR′; R1 and R2 are each independently selected from a variety of substituents; each R, R′, RA, and RB is independently hydrogen or a substituent; LA is coordinated to a metal M selected from Os, Ir, Pd, Pt, Cu, Ag, or Au by the dashed lines; any two adjacent of R1, R2, R, R′, RA, or RB can be joined or fused to form a ring, with the proviso that when ring B is a 6-membered ring, two RB substituents are not joined to form a fused 6-membered aromatic ring. Organic light emitting devices, consumer products, formulations, and chemical structures containing the compounds are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A compound including a first ligand LA of Formula I, is disclosed. In Formula I, ring B is a 5- or 6-membered ring; X1, X2, and X3 are each CRA or N; R is a 5- or 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring, which can be further fused or substituted; and (1) when ring B is an unfused 6-membered ring, X1 and X2 are N, and X3 is C; and (2) when ring B is a fused 6-membered ring, ring B has the structure of Formula II, In this structure, the wavy line indicates the point of connection to ring A; Q1 to Q6 are each C or N; and, when proviso (2) applies, (I) at least one of X1, X2, and X3 is N; or (II) R is two or more fused or unfused 5- or 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic rings, or (III) both.

    Abstract: An organic electroluminescent device (OLED) comprising an anode; a cathode; and an emissive region comprising a first emissive layer disposed between the anode and the cathode is provided. The OLED further comprises a microcavity structure, the first emissive layer comprises a first emitter, which is a phosphorescent emitter or a fluorescent emitter; the first emissive layer emits a first luminescent radiation when a voltage is applied across the OLED; the first emissive layer has a photoluminescent spectrum with a peak emission wavelength λmax, a first area T, and a second area M; the OLED has a luminance at normal incidence l0, and a luminance at 60 degrees from normal incidence l60; and one of the following conditions is true: the first emitter is a phosphorescent emitter where M/T ratio≥0.38 and l60/l0≥15%; or  (1) the first emitter is a fluorescent emitter where M/T ratio≥0.42 and l60/l0≥25%.  (2)
