Abstract: A manually operated pump sprayer that does not leak contents through the air inlet vent port during operation when the bottle is oriented so that the inlet vent port would be covered with liquid in a spray bottle to which the sprayer is mounted. The pump sprayer is devised as having an air inlet unit which includes the air inlet vent port in liquid communication with an extension tube which in turn is in liquid communication with a storage volume which in turn is in liquid communication with a liquid control orifice. An entrance end to the tube is positioned at a location farthest from the discharge exit opening of the sprayer, and the liquid control orifice is positioned closer to the exit opening such that when spraying in a downward direction such entrance end is always above the liquid level in the storage volume. Otherwise the entrance end is arranged as to be closer to the exit opening compared to the liquid control orifice such that when spraying in an upward direction the entrance end is above the liquid level in the storage volume.

Abstract: A trigger pump dispenser is made entirely from thermoplastic resin materials. It has a trigger (17) pivotally attached to the body (13) at its top end. The trigger is attached by a living hinge to a piston 16 movable within a pump cylinder (40), and is biased by a spring (18) to the retracted position shown. The spring is generally L-shaped and anchored to the body by its bottom leg so as to straddle the pump cylinder. A unitary valve member (15) located at the back of the pump cylinder provides one-way valves both for product dispensing and for product recharging into the pump chamber.

Abstract: A container assembly comprising a container for containing fluid, and a container closure. The container includes a neck having a mouth therein for passage therethrough of liquid in the container, and a flange circumscribing and extending radially outwardly from the neck of the container. Abstract: A manually operated reciprocating fluid pump for securement to a container's mouth. The fluid pump comprises a disperser body, a closure cap, a seal assembly, and a priming check valve. The dispenser body has a pump mechanism, a discharge port, and a discharge liquid flow path providing fluid communication between the pump mechanism and discharge port. The closure cap is connected to the dispenser body and is configured for closing the mouth of the container. The seal assembly has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is shaped and configured for preventing leakage between the closure cap and the mouth of the container when the closure cap closes the mouth of the container. The second portion has an intake port adapted for fluid communication with liquid contained in the container. The second portion of the seal assembly and the dispenser body define an intake liquid flow path providing fluid communication between the intake port and the pump mechanism. A check valve in the intake liquid flow path is configured for permitting fluid flow from the intake port to the pump mechanism and for checking fluid flow from the pump mechanism to the intake port. The second portion of the seal assembly comprises at least part of the check valve.

Abstract: A docking station and bottle system 23 including a filling head 20 and bottle 22 which have a head interconnect 86 and a bottle interconnect 90, respectively, for fastening the bottle 22 to the filling 20 head in order to prevent spillage. The bottle interconnect 90 includes a fluid port 106 and a vent port 104 which are simultaneously opened from a closed position in order to allow the filling head 20 to draw concentrated fluid from the bottle 22 and mix the concentrated fluid with a diluting fluid such as water before being dispensed from a filling head nozzle 52. The bottle 22 includes identifying indicia 158 for purposes of tracking utilization of the bottle and the concentrated fluid contained therein. An information storage system 170 is associated with the bottle and filling head in order to provide records of such concentrated fluid utilization. A wall mounted docking station 200 including one or more filling heads 20 is also provided for. A refill head is further provided for refilling bottle 22.

A pump outlet is connected via a flexible tube to a spray nozzle, and via a suction tube to a connector tube. A refill packing is provided within the outer container and includes an integrally manufactured connector that can be pressed onto the connector tube. The connector tube opens the connector upon insertion thereinto. A special plug, including guide arms, ensures that the connector opens upon insertion of the connector tube, and closes again upon withdrawal of the connector tube from the connector. The connector/connector tube assembly provides leak-free connection of the refill packing within the outer container.
