    摘要： A sunvisor for automobiles has the following elements. A one-piece casing composed of a plastic material. A retaining spring has a housing for retaining a pivot pin of a support attached to an automobile structure, so that the retaining ring may snugly rotate about the pin. The retaining spring and the pivot pin have mechanical means allowing a rest position of the sunvisor to be set. A hanging bridge is engageable with a support attached to the automobile structure and an external covering is formed as a sheath. The retaining spring is a one-piece member and is arranged in an interior of the casing totally covered by he casing and held firmly in a required position. The retaining spring is accessible from outside of the casing through a single orifice formed in the casing so that it may snugly slide for coupling with a pivot pin of the bent support attached to the automobile structure. The casing has an inner volume which, with the exception of a space occupied by the retaining spring, is completely full with a plastic material so as to form a structural reinforcement of the casing. The casing is formed, close to an end opposite to a position occupied by the retaining spring, with a through aperture defining a hanging bridge which can be snugly rotatably coupled to the support.

The opposite edge of the torque control includes a plurality of alternately formed spring arms which selectively engage opposite sides of a pivot rod having alternately staggered flats and lobes for controlling the visor movement between a raised stored position and a lowered use position.

    摘要： A sun visor for vehicles is provided at one corner thereof with a mounting housing for connecting the sun visor to a sun visor shaft which is mounted to the vehicle. The mounting housing is embedded in the plastic foam material of the sun visor and is secured to a stiffening wire insert which extends therethrough. A first insertion opening is defined in the mounting housing for receiving the stiffening insert and a second insertion opening is provided for supporting a leaf spring and for receiving the sun visor shaft. The spring bears against the shaft to prevent unwanted rotation of the sun visor about the shaft.

    摘要： The body of a sun visor is reinforced with a generally rectangular wire frame. At one corner of the frame is an injection-molded plastic mounting housing molded on the reinforcing frame and that housing receives the mounting shaft for supporting the visor in a vehicle. The wire frame has separated ends which extend past each other and this region of the frame is disposed in an injection molding cavity in which the mounting housing is to be molded. A U-shaped spring is also placed in the injection molding cavity and its side arms extend past the wire frame. A peg in the mounting housing extending through the spring defines the opening in the molded housing past the spring in which the mounting shaft for the visor is received. With the region of the frame and the spring in place in the injection mold for the mounting housing, moldable plastic is injected into the cavity of the mold and the mounting housing is directly molded to the reinforcing frame and the spring.

    摘要： A vehicle visor includes a molded body pivotally secured to a vehicle by means of a pivot mounting bracket and a support rod. The support rod is L-shaped with a torque fitting at an end secured within the pivot bracket for movement about an axis permitting the visor to swing from the front of the vehicle to the side. The visor body is secured to an elongated section of the L-shaped rod by a pair of torque fittings permitting rotation of the visor body on the support rod. The torque fittings comprise a lubricous polymeric material molded onto the support rod to provide a predetermined torque between the fittings and the rod. The fittings are anchored within the body of the visor and the pivot bracket permitting movement of the visor along the two axes. In the preferred embodiment, the torque fittings include oppositely extending configurated flanges fitted into keyways within the visor body and pivot bracket for anchoring the rod within the visor body.
