摘要： A wet suit for underwater use is constructed to yield more readily to movements of the wearer by providing one or more longitudinal slits, as for example in the arm and leg portions of the suit, and closing each of these slits with an overlying length of elastic fabric sewn to both slit edges and a sealing flap of waterproof material underlying the slit and sewn to one edge. A similarly sealed slit is provided in the trunk of the suit, and closed by a length of elastic fabric in which a zipper is sewn.

摘要： A non-return hot water diving suit in which hot water is supplied to keep the diver warm is exhausted from the suit through a single outlet valve, readily accessible to the diver. In the event of failure of the hot water supply the valve can be quickly closed, trapping the existing hot water in the suit and extending the length of time available for the diver to return to safety. In the preferred form the valve is combined with a flow controlling baffle, which will allow normal hot water outlet flow, but inhibits sudden or rapid intake of cold water through the open outlet.

An underwater garment comprising trousers, a chest panel extending around the chest of the wearer and connecting to a back panel, said back panel being cut to a particular width to fit a particular individual, and a waist panel connected end-to-end and joined to said trousers, chest and back panels, the length and width of said waist panel being cut to fit the height and girth of a particular individual.

摘要： An improved seamless aquatic shirt of the ''''dry suit'''' type is provided for surfing, skin diving, water skiing, and the like. The shirt is composed of a latex material of a thickness which is tapered so as to have a maximum thickness at the waist which gradually decreases to a minimum thickness at the neck and sleeves. The tapered garment of the invention is easier to put on and take off as compared with the shirts of corresponding prior art dry suits, and it has other features as will be described. In a second embodiment of the invention, for example, mittens are formed integral with the sleeves as a molded extension of the shirt, so that the wearer''s hands, like the rest of his body, will remain dry and warm.

摘要： A diving suit is fabricated to provide freedom of motion and protection from marine predators including a pair of neoprene sheets sandwiching a fist scale arrangement of overlapping plastic chips. Using a resilient adhesive to bond row after row of interconnected plastic chips onto the inner sheet of neoprene in the overlapping "fish scale like" arrangement provides a protective laminate. Covering the joined rows with the second neoprene sheet holds the suit together and reduces the possibility of snagging the chips'' exposed edges. Holes are made in the outer neoprene sheet and a liquid resilient adhesive is injected to coat the chips and fill any voids created between the two sheets. After a sufficient drying time, the laterally arranged rows of plastic chips are bent and flexed along axes perpendicular to the rows to break the small connecting portions between adjacent chips. Thusly resiliently bonded and segmented, the layered diver armor provides protection yet retains a high degree of flexibility to prevent diver fatigue.

摘要： Present invention relates to a deep sea dive suit and selfcontained underwater breathing and heating apparatus therefor. The improved suit is laminated in six layers which form a passageway for the circulation of an oxygen-gas mixture that transmits heat from the warmer parts of the body to its extremities. The oxygen-gas mixture is generated from a supply of a cryogenic oxygen containing liquid stored in a back pack reservoir. The cryogenic liquid is heated, converted to a gas, circulated through the suit and finally conditioned for breathing by the diver.
