摘要: A pressurized canister with a reusable dispensing valve is provided. A metallic canister is provided with a threaded throat that is adapted to threadedly receive a valve assembly. An insert within the throat maintains a seal, for sealing the pressurized canister, and a membrane that is adapted to be pierced by a dispensing valve. This dispensing valve is spring biased and is movable within a pair of bores within the valve assembly. An outlet needle has an L-shaped passage that constitutes a portion of the valve such that movement of the valve inwardly not only pierces the membrane, but allows a radial leg of the L-shaped passage to communicate with the interior of the canister and dispense the pressurized gas therefrom. When the gas has all been dispensed, the valve assembly may be threadedly disengaged from the canister throat and reused upon threaded engagement with a new or refilled cansister.

摘要: A dispenser is provided for use with an associated container having pressurized contents. The dispenser includes a base configured for fitment on the associated container, and an actuator snap-fit to the base for limited, relative rotation with respect thereto. The base of the dispenser includes a nozzle joined in fluid communication with a valve stem of an associated dispensing valve fitted to the container, such that deflection of the nozzle permits dispensing of the pressurized contents of the container therethrough. The actuator cooperates with the nozzle of the base to permit selective movement of the nozzle for convenient dispensing of the container contents.

摘要: An aerosol texturing system for applying a layer of texture material on an uncoated portion of a substrate substantially to match a coated portion of the substrate, comprises an aerosol assembly, texture material, and propellant material. The aerosol assembly defines a product chamber and is selectively operable in a first mode in which the product chamber is sealed and in a second mode in which fluid is allowed to flow out of the product chamber along a dispensing passageway. The texture material and propellant material are disposed within the product chamber. The texture material has a base portion and a particulate portion containing at least one particulate material. When the aerosol assembly is in the second mode, the propellant material is adapted to force the texture material out of the aerosol assembly along the dispensing passageway and onto the uncoated portion of the substrate.

摘要: A dispensing apparatus (10) for dispensing a product from a container (12) includes: a product chamber within the container (12); a valve (14) adjacent to the product chamber; a hinge assembly secured to the opening of the container and to which is connected a nozzle assembly (20); and a lever (18) attached by means of the hinge assembly. The nozzle assembly (20) is rotatable between open and closed positions and includes an actuator portion provided with a cam surface (96, 98) which co-operates with a bearing portion (100) on the lever (18) such that, when the nozzle assembly (20) is in the open position, operation of the lever (18) causes movement of the actuator portion to open the valve (14) and permit flow of the product out of the container (12).

摘要: A one piece tire valve adaptor for connection to an aerosol container including a base with a means for attachment to a mounting cup, a hollow tube connected to said base and including a spout for connection to a tire valve, and a flow passage extending from said first end to said second end. The spout includes three sealing surfaces for engaging three surfaces of the tire valves, to prevent air leakage during inflation. The flow passage includes a post centrally located within said flow passage and extending into said spout, for engaging the pin of a tire valve. The base further includes a flexible diaphragm connected to the first end of said tube. Sufficient pressure on said spout of the adaptor flexes the diaphragm, causing the tube of the adaptor to engage and push the actuator into the aerosol container, opening the valve of the container. The release of pressure on the spout allows the diaphragm to return to its original position, causing the tube to allow the valve to close.

摘要: An aerosol container having a cylindrical neck defining an outlet opening. A nozzle having a base and neck seats on the container neck with its base covering the outlet opening, and is held in place by a push-on cap snapped onto the container, with the nozzle neck projecting through a hole in the cap. The cap is resilient, so that when the nozzle is pushed sideways, the cap yields and the nozzle base lifts to uncover the outlet opening. The container contents then pass through the uncovered outlet opening, through a peripheral space between the nozzle base and the cap, through a side bore in the nozzle base, and out a passage in the nozzle neck as a spray.

The nozzle comprises a generally conical member having an axially extending passageway for the discharge of material, and the nozzle toward its discharge end has diametrically opposed wedge-shaped portions removed therefrom so as to provide a cross-sectional width in one direction which is significantly less than that in a cross-sectional plane at right angles to the first, thereby providing a discharge end which may be readily inserted into a lock or the like but which nevertheless has sufficient strength to resist deformation.
