    摘要: An aerosol discharge assembly including an aerosol cap sized to frictionally fit atop a cylindrically-shaped aerosol can having a centrally located longitudinal axis and circular cross-section, the cylindrically-shaped aerosol can containing a pressurized fluid therein and a valve stem which, when depressed, discharges fluid there through. The aerosol cap is also cylindrically shaped having a longitudinal axis coextensive with the longitudinal axis of the cylindrically-shaped aerosol can. The aerosol cap further includes an open channel located along its longitudinal axis exposing the valve stem there through and a hose receiving channel exposed atop the aerosol cap. An actuator is sized to slip fit within the open channel and to slide within it when being depressed by a user, the actuator including a fluid inlet port sized to receive the valve stem and a fluid output port in fluid communication with the fluid inlet port such that when the actuator is depressed, pressurized fluid from the aerosol can is caused to enter the fluid inlet port, travel through the actuator and discharge through the fluid outlet port. The assembly also includes a flexible hose having a first end and a second end, the first end being sized to capture the fluid outlet port, the second end including a fixture for passing the pressurized fluid there through, the flexible hose being sized to frictionally fit within the hose receiving channel when not in use, the assembly also including a safety tab positioned atop and emanating from the actuator which when in place, prevents the actuator from being depressed within the open channel.

    摘要: A foam transfer device is described, for use with aerosol canister apparatus for producing a sclerosant foam for the treatment of, inter alia, varicose veins. The device enables diversion of an initial quantity of below-specification foam from the canister to waste, e.g. to an integral waste chamber, before dispensing a further quantity of foam for use in treatment. The switching of the flow from the waste chamber to a different outlet for use is accomplished without interrupting the flow from the aerosol canister since this would cause the foam to drop below specification again. The waste chamber may be transparent so that the foam entering it can be observed and a decision made by a user when to stop diverting foam to waste. Alternatively, the foam may be diverted automatically e.g. when a set time has elapsed or a set volume of foam dispensed. The foam for use is normally dispensed into a syringe for subsequent injection into a varicose vein of a patient.

    摘要: A device is described for facilitating the preparation of therapeutic foam e.g. for the treatment of varicose veins. A pressurised vial contains a sclerosant liquid, e.g., polidocanol solution, and a sterile gas which is readily absorbed by the body, e.g., carbon dioxide, oxygen or a mixture of these gases. The vial is provided either with a specialised stopper/seal into which a syringe nozzle may be inserted or alternatively a septum seal which may be penetrated by a hypodermic needle. The quantities of gas and liquid and the pressure in the vial are pre-set so that, on connection of a syringe to the vial, a predetermined volume of both gas and liquid is transferred to the syringe, with the intention that the syringe is then used to make a foam by known means. The use of the vial ensures that the ratio of gas to liquid in the foam is standardized, and also provides a convenient way of packaging the gas and liquid and of filling the syringe in a sterile manner.

    摘要: A tire-sealing apparatus for injecting a sealing composition into a vehicle tire either as a prophylactic or for sealing an existing leak is in the form of a pressurizeable container for a flowable sealant compound. An inlet is provided for introducing compressed gas into the container to pressurize its contents. An outlet line is also provided to deliver the sealant into a tire, the pressurized gas acting on contents of the container and providing the motive force for the delivery. A dip tube extends into the compound and is coupled to a one-way valve to provide a controlled flow of the compound from the container into the tire while preventing back pressure of the tire from either delivering air or compound back into the container. A passageway between the outlet tube and an interior of the container is provided to allow a flow of compressed gas within the container into the outlet tube along with the sealant.

    摘要: A device for spraying an inner surface of a toilet bowl with a cleaning and/or deodorizing chemical is disclosed. The device can include a container for the chemical, a sprayer through which the chemical can be sprayed laterally at least halfway around a perimeter of the sprayer, means for attaching the sprayer near a rim of the toilet bowl, a fluid conduit in fluid communication with the container and the sprayer, and a manually operated pump for delivering chemical from the container through the fluid conduit and to the sprayer when the pump is operated. In one version, the pump includes a pump chamber in fluid communication with the container, a discharge conduit in fluid communication with the pump chamber and in fluid communication with the fluid conduit, and a piston that reciprocates in the pump chamber for drawing fluid from the container into the pump chamber and moving fluid from the pump chamber through the discharge conduit and into the fluid conduit. The device can apply chemical around the entire circumference of the inner surface of the toilet bowl.

    摘要: A fitting adapted to be used with pressurized aerosol containers and the like, for enabling inflating gas or liquid to be supplied to tires and other inflatable articles. The fitting comprises a tubular, double-ended member with recesses or sockets respectively at its two ends. One end of the member can be applied to a pressurized container in a manner to actuate the valve thereof for effecting a discharge through the fitting. The other end of the member can be fitted to the valve stem of a tire or other inflatable articles, whereby the pressurized gas or liquid will transfer to the article and inflate the same. The fitting is provided with means at one of its ends, cooperable with the closure structure of the aerosol container for temporarily mounting the fitting on the container for shipping and storage purposes.
