摘要： A molded plastic hanger and a clip for use therewith or with other members. The hanger includes a body portion having a diverging pair of arms including slots therein and a crossbar for mounting garment holding clips. A plastic swivel hook is connected to the body portion at a stem. The stem includes a shaft having an annular locking recess in its periphery which is adapted to be received within a mating socket of the hook to connect the hook and body portion to each other while enabling them to be swiveled readily with respect to each other. The clip is arranged for securement to the crossbar of the hanger or to any other rod-like element and is formed of a three piece construction comprising a pair of plastic jaws and a resilient U-shaped member, also formed of plastic, but having a higher tensile strength and resiliency than the plastic of the jaws.

摘要： A resiliently biassed clamp for use as a clothespin or for incorporation in a garment hanger is formed of two identical and interchangeable jaws, each having an inset trunnion flange and a flush trunnion flange interfitting in pivoting facing juxtaposition with the inset trunnion flange on the opposed jaw, forming a flush, snag-proof external profile and a cleanly sculptured appearance. A central pivot pin or hanger rod secures the juxtaposed apertured flanges of the identical mating interfitting jaws together, resisting the clamping force imposed on the garment by a torsion coil spring, and forming a central fulcrum for the angular opening and closing movement of the pivoting clamps jaws. The coil spring substantially fills the space between the mating pairs of jaw flanges, readily maintaning the jaws laterally positioned for efficient clamping engagement.

摘要： A highly stable clothespin of the type having a pair of elongated clamping members and a helical metal spring interposed therebetween is provided. Each of the pair of clamping members has a forward clamping jaw, a tail, and an intermediate portion. The hollow body of the helical spring serves as a fulcrum about which the intermediate portions of the elongated clamping members are pivoted for opening and closing the jaws with respect to one another for gripping articles inserted therebetween. In a first embodiment, the improved stability is achieved by providing a lateral recess about the top surface and sides of each of the clamping members adjacent the fulcrum. An integral clip formed into a rectangular configuration is provided for each of the lateral recesses and the two ends of each of the clips are inserted into the hollow body of the spring for securing the clamping members thereto. In a second embodiment, the improved stability is achieved by providing one or more pairs of elongated pin and aperture combinations disposed between the fulcrum and the clamping jaws. The tip of the non-metallic pin is disposed adjacent its corresponding aperture when the jaws are open and is telescopically received therein when the jaws are closed thereby preventing the article inserted between the jaws from contacting the metal spring while simultaneously reducing the tendency of the members to separate from the spring under abnormal conditions.
