摘要: A thrust bearing device includes: a thrust collar fitted with a drive shaft, the thrust collar including a flange portion extending radially outward of the drive shaft; and a thrust member penetrated by the thrust collar and including a pad portion in a region facing the flange portion. The pad portion includes: a plurality of land portions which are parallel to a plane orthogonal an axis of the drive shaft and are disposed at intervals in a circumferential direction of the drive shaft; and tapered portions each of which is disposed between adjacent land portions among the plurality of land portions, joined via a step to a boundary of one land portion in the circumferential direction of the drive shaft, and joined continuously to a boundary of another land portion. Each of the land portions has a circumferential groove which is longer in the circumferential direction than in a radial direction of the drive shaft.

The first ring has a cylindrical ring section and a collar extending radially from the ring section. The collar has an axial support area supporting axial bearing elements, wherein several pretension elements creating compressive stress are fixed to the first ring in the section where the collar extends from the ring section.

摘要: Bearing assemblies and bearing apparatuses are disclosed. In an embodiment, a first bearing assembly includes tilting pads and a first plurality of sliding superhard bearing elements secured to a first support ring. In an embodiment, a second bearing assembly includes a substantially continuous bearing element secured to a second support ring. In an embodiment, a bearing apparatus includes the first bearing assembly and the second bearing assembly, with the substantially continuous bearing element generally facing the tilting pads. At relatively low rotational speeds, the first plurality of superhard bearing elements supports at least a portion of a load exerted on the bearing assembly. At relatively high rotational speeds, the tilting pads support at least a majority of the load.
