摘要： A retractor system includes a rail having two opposed widened rail portions separated by a narrowed portion, each widened portion engageable by a separate clamp. The clamps are configured to support the rail to a fixed surface, or to support a surgical device. Each clamp may independently be positioned or slid along the rail to a desired location without interference with a clamp on an opposing widened rail portion. A device clamp is formed of spherical mating portions which enable alignment of a surgical device along six degrees of freedom, and tightenable by securing a single fastener. A retractor blade mount enables an angular and tilting disposition of a retractor blade, as well as remote manipulation of the retractor blade.

The top rails of the first and second support are configured to be coupled to the second ring, and the bottom rails of the first and second supports are configured to be coupled to the first ring. The assembly further includes a first tension element configured to couple to the rod and the bottom rail of the first support, and a second tension element configured to couple to the rod and the bottom rail of the second support.

摘要： A microphone is mounted to apparatus in order to receive sound from a sound source. The apparatus has a microphone clamp to secure different microphones to a variety of musical instruments and other sound sources and may be used to directly mount a microphone to a variety of clamping surfaces. The mounting apparatus incorporates a dual jaw design to allow for easy, fast, and secure mounting to the clamping surface. The apparatus supports a quick release mechanism for easy and fast engagement and disengagement of the dual jaws, consequently reducing time needed to securely clamp and remove the mounting apparatus with the clamping surface. The release mechanism may include a dowel release having a hole through which the jaw stud is situated. The hole has two curved surfaces so that one of jaws may be moved without turning the jaw stud when the dowel release is depressed.

It can reduce worker injury with a thin sheet metal or plastic, broadly U-shaped guard plate attached to a structural support through attachment to a pair of clamps, each with a primary and a secondary threaded clamp jaw. The attachment between the guard plate and pair of clamps may be via a slotted intermediate structure. The primary jaws have a swivel pad end while the secondary clamps have a pointed, cone-shaped end. It is used in wind turbine towers to protect workers on a fixed ladder from hitting interior flanges as they climb up and as they climb down.

The connection block has doweled or tapered bayonets for facilitated installation and removal of the UV module. The connection end cap has a drive train with sleeve bearings and/or torque limiting clutches. Each of the sleeve bearing cooperates with a poppet valve in the connection block assembly to assure fluid-tight integrity during assembly and disassembly. Each of the clutches allows for facilitated shutter synchronization and helps prevent drive train breakdown. The shutter assembly may include a novel coolant flow path cross over and/or improved positive and negative positive and negative retainers to eliminate or greatly reduce shutter binding. The shutter end caps may include coolant flow paths and mate with the shutters to achieve a fluid-tight integrity.
