摘要： A torque transmission mechanism (1) comprises an outer body (10) defining a cavity (12) and an inner body (30) located at least partially inside the cavity and able to rotate therein. A plurality of rollers (22, 24, 26) located between the outer and inner bodies interact with cam surfaces (14a, 16a, 18a, 20a) so that rotation of the inner body in a first direction is substantially unimpeded but rotation in the opposite direction is prevented or impeded by interaction of rollers with one or more cam surfaces. One of the rollers (18) is larger than at least one other roller and is located in a recess formed in one of the outer and inner bodies. In one embodiment the recess (18) is formed in a part of the outer body which has a greater wall thickness, excluding the effect of the recess than the rest of the outer body, so that the larger roller is accommodated without adding bulk to the outer body.

摘要： A wrench compatible for use in limited access areas is made up of two components. A socket with fluted interior walls cooperates with a handle assembly consisting of a head with complementary fluting on its exterior surface attached to one end of a shaft. The head is inserted into the top of the socket and the shaft is rotated as far as the available space permits. The handle assembly is then lifted upward until the head is separated from the socket, the shaft is thereafter returned to the starting point, the head returned to the socket and rotated again. These steps are repeated until the nut or bolt is tightened or removed. The interior fluting permits the rotation of the socket by small or large increments. Additional embodiments include a spring loaded pin that connects the head of the handle assembly to the socket while assisting the head to be raised a sufficient distance for the head of the handle assembly to be rotated and reseated in the socket. Additional sockets with lower portions having different interior diameters can be used with the same handle assembly for nuts and bolts of smaller and larger diameters. An auxiliary extender and an alternate handle assembly make tight or narrow areas more accessible.

Wedge guide grooves are formed on the inner circumferential surface of the ring portion. Each of the wedge guide grooves has a free region which maintains the corresponding wedge member in a free state, and left-hand and right-hand wedge regions each of which maintains the corresponding wedge member in a caught state. The wrench is provided with a changeover mechanism for moving the retainer to a position at which the wedge member faces the corresponding free region, a position at which the wedge member faces the corresponding left-hand wedge region, or a position at which the wedge member faces the corresponding right-hand wedge region.

A bore in the center of the flange permits entry of a socket portion of a wrench to engage a nut holding the propeller on a shaft within the hub. There is an intervening member in the form of a detent to serve as a stop for restricting the axial movement of the cap relative to the base assembly, so the cap cannot be removed from the base assembly until the detent is released. The detent, or other parts of the screwdriver, can serve as a rotation stop for the can which has selective positions for setting the ratcheting position of the screwdriver.

摘要： An adjustable wrench includes a handle having an end on which a fixed jaw is formed. The handle includes an engaging section and a transverse through-hole. A movable jaw includes a longitudinal hole through which the engaging section of the handle extends, allowing the movable jaw to slide relative to the handle. A retaining member is movably mounted in the transverse through-hole of the handle and biased by an elastic element to a position where toothed sections of the retaining member are engaged with toothed sections of the movable jaw, thereby retaining the movable jaw in place. The retaining member can be pushed to another position wherein the toothed sections of the retaining member are disengaged from the toothed sections of the movable jaw, allowing the movable jaw to slide relative to the fixed jaw.
