摘要： A polygonal mirror includes reflecting surfaces, a molded member including a first surface and a second surface, a contact portion, and gate marks. Each of said first surface and said second surface has a polygonal shape. The contact portion and the gate marks are formed at non-overlapping positions with a line segment connecting a vertex of the polygonal shape with a rotation center. The gate marks and the reflecting surfaces are the same in number. A perpendicular bisector of a line segment connecting centers of the gate marks adjacent to each other with respect to a rotational direction of the polygonal mirror is formed at a position passing through an associated vertex of the polygonal shape and the rotation center.

摘要： Methods for preparing thermoplastic automotive appliques include applying heat from an auxiliary heater to a tool cavity of a forming tool. The auxiliary heater is activated for a period of time until a temperature of the heated tool cavity is heated to less than or equal to about a melting temperature of the thermoplastic. The heated tool cavity is filled with the thermoplastic, and a cooling fluid is pulsed through the forming tool. The thermoplastic applique is then removed, and the supply of cooling fluid is turned off.

In the cassette type mold apparatus, the movable side cassette mold can be stacked on the fixed side cassette mold in a state in which a cavity and a core are aligned and can be integrally loaded in a direction of a side surface of the entire mold.

摘要： A device for securing and/or releasing injection moulds for plastics injection moulding includes a slide retainer that is located in a receiving mould region, can be pushed into predefined, complementary regions of a corresponding sliding mould region and comprises a roller which is rotatably mounted in a housing and over which the sliding mould region can roll. A spring-loaded pressure piece comprises the housing and a slide retainer spring that presses against the housing, for engaging in an opening in the sliding mould region. The housing has a pre-loading projection in a peripheral region for pre-loading by means of the slide retainer spring. One or more fixing screws run through the housing and is/are screwed into a complementary opening in the receiving mould region. A central lead-through means is provided and each of the one or more fixing screws runs through one through-opening of the lead-through means.

摘要： A process for producing molded products having portions formed with two separate materials is provided. The process involves forming a first component over a structural core in a first step, and forming a second component that is secured to the first component and the core in a second step. The second component can be formed directly over the first component or can be secured thereto after formation. The first and second components can additionally be formed with indicia thereon, or with recesses within which inserts containing the desired indicia can be positioned. Additionally, the first component can be formed with a ridge disposed on a projection formed on the first component that effectively seals off a portion of the first component when the second component is formed around the core and the first component to ensure the portion of the first component surrounded by the ridge remains visible after formation of the second component.

In one embodiment, an injection molding device injects a molten polymer composition into a runner that extends from an injection point to a gate. The gate is positioned adjacent to an opening leading into a mold cavity. In accordance with the present disclosure, the system includes one or more overflow passages that divert flow of the polymer composition so as to temporarily reduce the flow rate and pressure of the polymer composition entering the mold.
