摘要: A magnetic levitation transport system includes magnetic levitation vehicles each driven by a linear motor to run along a track. Induction lines extend through predetermined blocks of the running track to transmit a high frequency sine-wave current. Each vehicle includes electromagnets to attract levitating magnetic members extending along the running track, a pickup coil resonant with a frequency of the induction lines to generate an electromotive force, and a battery chargeable by the pickup coil. The electromagnets receive power from the pickup coil and/or the battery.

摘要: A superconductive magnetically levitated railway is provided with six phases of propulsion-levitation-guidance ground coils arranged on both side walls of a track, and with a pair of superconducting magnets, which are mounted on the vehicle, corresponding to the six phases of the ground coils. The ground coils are a U-phase coil, a negative W-phase coil, a V-phase coil, a negative U-phase coil, a W-phase coil and a negative V-phase coil arranged successively at a 60.degree. pitch along both side walls of the track. As a result, higher harmonics of the magnetic field produced by the propulsion-levitation-guidance ground coils can be reduced. In addition, the number of layers of the ground coils can be reduced one and the number of ground coils can be decreased.

摘要: Movable aerodynamic control surfaces are mounted to a MAGLEV vehicle. They operate in combination with magnetically actuated coils that are located in the vehicle and cooperate with coils or metallic sheets located along the vehicle guideway. Sensors provide clearance information concerning the vehicle relative to the guideway as well as translational speed and vehicle rotational measurements. Based on input from these sensors, a computer positions the control surfaces and energizes the magnetic coils so as to unload dynamic forces and stresses imposed by the vehicle while providing smoother vehicle movement indicative of superior passenger comfort.

摘要: In a superconducting magnet apparatus including one winding of coiled superconductor wire, another winding of coiled superconductor wire, a cooling device for supplying coolant to cooling vessels which contain the respective windings therein and a non-magnetic partition wall interposed between the cooling vessels containing the respective windings to airtightly separate them, with these windings being located at relative positions enabling mutual inductance therebetween, even if quenching occurs in the superconducting magnet apparatus. It is designed to not lose the magnetic repulsive force such that equipment traveling at high speed can be safely transferred at least to the nearest station. In addition, electromagnetic levitation traveling equipment on which the above-described apparatus is installed and a control method therefore is also described.

摘要: A levitation-propulsion mechanism for an inductive repulsion type magnetically levitated railway having a vehicle with a truck and a track with a U-shaped cross-section with spaced opposed walls between which the truck runs, has a plurality of vertically positioned superconducting coils on both sides of the truck at intervals therealong in the direction of travel of the vehicle. Guidance coils are mounted on the inside surfaces of the walls of the track at intervals therealong in the direction of travel of the vehicle and opposed to the corresponding superconducting coils. Upper and lower levitation coils are positioned adjacent to the guidance conductor coils and opposed to the superconducting coils, the upper and lower coils being symmetrically positioned above and below, respectively, a horizontal line through the center of the guidance coils, and the upper and lower conductor coils are null-flux connected in a closed circuit. The guidance coils can be connected to a propulsion power source, in which case they become propulsion-guidance coils. Alternatively the levitation coils can be connected to the propulsion power source, in which case they become levitation-propulsion coils.

摘要: A transportation system of a floated-carrier type, according to the present invention, comprises a guide rail composed of main lines and branch lines, intersecting one another, a coupling section connecting the main and branch lines, and a carrier for carrying cargo, the carrier being capable of running along the guide rail. The carrier is kept floating, in a non-contact manner, from the guide rail, by means of an electromagnetic attractive force. A transfer apparatus is provided at the coupling section. At the coupling section, the carrier, having so far been running along the main lines, is stopped, and is then transferred from the coupling section to the branch lines, all in a non-contact manner. Thus, the mounting space of the transfer apparatus is small, and the carrier can be transferred from the main lines to the branch lines, without producing dust or noise.
