摘要： A quilt marking assembly includes a measuring tape which has graduated indicia printed thereon to measure distance along a blanket when the measuring tape is stretched along the blanket. A plurality of pins is provided and each of the pins is insertable into a quilting frame upon which the blanket is positioned to mark a preferred location on the blanket. The pins are positionable such that the pins are evenly spaced along a distance measured by the measuring tape. A roll of yarn is dividable into a plurality of lengths of the yarn. Each of the lengths of yarn is stretchable between a respective pair of pins to define a grid on the blanket. A marker is provided to mark the blanket at each of a plurality of intersections of the grid defined by the lengths of yarn for quilting the blanket.

The bed portion is configured to support the needle plate. The first urging member is provided inside the bed portion and configured to urge the needle plate upward. The first engagement member is provided on the needle plate. The second engagement member is provided inside the bed portion, and is configured to fix the needle plate in a fixed position by being engaged with the first engagement member of the needle plate pressed downward against an urging force of the first urging member. The lock release mechanism is configured to release the engagement of the first engagement member and the second engagement member.

In addition, the sensing system includes the first and second optical sensors aligned to detect the presence of the first or second bobbin surface. The sensing system further includes a controller adapted to receive signals from the first and second optical sensors related to the presence of the first or second bobbin surface in the first or second regions and interpret the signals to provide the detecting motion of the bobbin.
