    摘要: An apparatus for dredging using a pump which forms a highly pressurized, rotating stream of liquid which is directed down the inlet conduit to a discharge and the momentum and energy of the rotating stream is transferred to the solids and liquids, suspending the solids to agitate and separate the same to make the solids more easily suspended. The agitated solids and liquids flow upwardly in a counter-flowing outer annular stream around the downward flowing, rotating stream. The pump is very lightweight as compared to conventional centrifugal dredging pumps and is operated at high speeds, for examble 1,000-2,000 rpm to eliminate the usual speed reducers to prevent cavitation when using the centrifugal pumps.

    摘要: A sludge pond vehicle, for use with an onshore waste processor, includes a frame to which a pair of elongate, generally cylindrical pontoons and a trash pump are mounted. Each pontoon has a spiral flight about its outer surface and each is individually driven about its own axis so to propel the vehicle through a sludge pond. The frame includes pivotal support arms at each end between which the elongate pontoons are mounted. Pivoting the support arms relative to one another causes the pontoons to separate and approach each other thus raising and lowering the trash pump. High pressure hot water is sprayed into the sludge pond in the region of the trash pump to aid removal of the sludge. The various power and control lines are carried by an overhead boom pivotally mounted to the frame. The boom can pivot freely over an arc of about 270.degree. to permit relatively unrestricted movement of the sludge pond vehicle.

    摘要: An amphibian vehicle for shallow water, adapted for executing ground operations, such as dredging, removal of growth in channels, ditches and water courses includes a hull (1) with floating capacity, comprising a pontoon onto which several mechanisms for adjusting the height of ground transport mechanisms can be mounted, such as vertically slidable posts (32) or pivotable two armed levers (8). The invention places the mechanisms (8;32) for adjusting the height and the bottom transport mechanisms outwardly from the hull (1) and therefore freely movable with respect to the hull. This gives an improved stability during the operations standing on the bottom (4) and also during sailing, whereby the possible applications are enlarged. As the vehicle is self propelled also the displacement speed can be substantially increased.

    摘要: A dredging apparatus including a spud barge and a dredging barge. A hollow pivot sleeve is located at the stern of the dredging barge. A hydraulically extendable arm is mounted on the spud barge and is pivotally connected to the pivot sleeve. A large diameter bull ring is affixed to the pivot sleeve. A pair of cables connect to the bull ring and to a pair of power driven winches on the spud barge. The winding and unwinding of the cables around their winches swings the dredging barge about the pivot sleeve during dredging. An anchor spud extends through the hollow pivot sleeve to hold the dredging barge in fixed position when the spud barge is being relocated.

A closed bottom cage is connected with the depending end of the pipe section. A first force pump supplied water pressure hose is connected with the upper end portion of the pipe section in a manner to induce a jet action pressure reduction for lifting gangue into the gangue tube. A second force pump supplied water pressure hose is secured to the upper end portion of the pipe section and divided for exhausting downwardly directed high velocity water streams at diametrically opposite sides of the cage.
