摘要: Methods, apparatus, and systems to collect audience measurement data are disclosed. An example system includes at least one non-transitory machine readable storage medium including instructions which, when executed, cause a machine to at least: generate behavior data developed during a first time period based on first media data and user data corresponding to one or more users of a household, the user data to include demographic information for the one or more users associated with the household, identify second media data during a second time period different than the first time period, the second media data identified without identification of the one or more users of the household, and associate the demographic information to the second media data based on the behavior data generated during the first time period associated with the one or more users.

摘要: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to estimate an audience population. An apparatus includes a characteristic identifier to determine whether respective ones of respondents are associated with a characteristic, a respondent identifier to determine whether the respective ones of the respondents are recaptured based on a comparison of a person identifier corresponding to respondents and a database of previously identified person identifiers, a count determiner to, in response to the respective ones of the respondents exhibiting the characteristic, increase a total capture count by one and, in response to detecting unique instances of the respective ones of the respondents exhibiting the characteristic, increase a unique capture count by one, and a population estimator to, in response to a recapture probability satisfying a threshold, determine a population estimate having the characteristic based on the total capture count, the unique capture count, and a number of available samples.

摘要: Techniques for regional viewership predictions of broadcast events such as live broadcast professional sporting events. The techniques can make the predictions without a direct response variable such as regional viewership data for training a prediction model. Instead, in one technique, demand information for a good or service is used. From the demand information, a derivative demand for the good or service relative to a normal demand is determined. A regression framework is used to learn relationships between the derivative demand for the good or service and features of past live broadcast sporting events. This results in a matrix of feature weights. A non-parametric mixture framework is then used to find a set of feature weights that can be applied to features of future broadcast events to generate regional viewership predictions for the events.

摘要: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to credit media based on the presentation rate. An example apparatus disclosed herein includes memory and instructions. The example apparatus disclosed herein further includes at least one processor to execute the instructions to cause the at least one processor to at least detect a first peak in a first frequency range of audio data associated with monitored media, detect a second peak in a second frequency range of the audio data, the second frequency range different from the first frequency range, detect that a presentation rate of the monitored media is increased relative to a reference version of the media in response to the second peak being greater than the first peak, generate a signature corresponding to the monitored media, and transmit the signature to a media monitoring entity to credit the monitored media based on the presentation rate.

摘要: Techniques for projecting household-level viewing events are described herein. Population data may be accessed including classes of a plurality of demographic attributes for households in a market. Representative household units (RHUs) may be generated, and the RHUs may be assigned a class for each of the demographic attributes and a quota based on the demographic attributes of a plurality of panelist households. Each of the panelist households may be assigned to one of the RHUs based on at least one panelist classes matching the classes for respective demographic attributes of the RHU, and the number of matching panelist households assigned to each of the RHU may be based on the quota. Panelist viewing data representing viewing events associated with the panelist household may be accessed. A report may be generated with the classes of the RHUs and the panelist viewing data of the assigned panelist households.

摘要: Methods, apparatus, systems to determine a conditional probability based on audience member probability distributions for media audience measurement are disclosed. Disclosed example methods for media audience measurement include determining a first audience probability distribution for a first member of a household and determining a second audience probability distribution for a second member of the household. Disclosed example methods also include calculating probabilities for audience combinations of the first member and the second member of the household based on the first audience probability distribution and the second audience probability distribution. Disclosed example methods further include determining a household audience characteristic probability based on the calculated probabilities of the audience combinations of the household. The household audience characteristic indicates likelihoods of different possible audience compositions of the household for a media event.

摘要: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for the detection of human presence in an energy efficient manner using a plurality of sensors such as those of a battery-powered device such as a television remote, and a device with a processor, such as a television. Data gathered from an initial television WiFi radio scan, or an initial low-powered detection scan from the television remote, may be analyzed by the processor to determine a potential presence of one or more humans are present proximate to the device. If there is such a potential presence, the device remote can enter a full-powered detection mode to accurately determine the presence or absence of one or more humans, and take further actions.
