摘要： A barrel forcing cone bushing for a revolver adapted for firing high intensity ammunition, which bushing is provided for installation in the weapon frame in abutting and sealing engagement to the throat or lead end of the revolver barrel. The bushing is installed and removed utilizing tooling of the invention that consists of a sleeve that is tapped longitudinally to receive a screw turned therein, which sleeve includes, on its end opposite to its screw receiving end a bevel gear that is formed around the sleeve end inside that is for meshing with a like bevel gear formed around the bushing end opposite to the bushing barrel engaging end. The screw and sleeve are installed in the weapon frame, and the sleeve turned to where the screw is stationary in the frame, against the firing pin side of the cylinder compartment, the sleeve will extend therefrom and, when turned, turns the bushing into the barrel receiving bore of the frame. The threads of the screw, sleeve, bushing, barrel and barrel-receiving bore of the frame are identical.

摘要： The action and barrel of a rifle are mounted to the stock so that the barrel is closely spaced from the front end grip portion of the stock. A rigid insert is fit into an opening through the stock and securely attached to the stock. The action is securely attached to the insert so that the barrel extends along the grip end portion of the stock without making actual contact with the stock. The rifle has greatly improved accuracy inasmuch as the barrel is not subjected to stress and strain due to atmospheric conditions affecting the portion of the stock which cradles the barrel of the rifle.

摘要： Improved cylinder locking means for a small, single action revolver which is positioned entirely within the body of the revolver and operates with the hammer and hand to release the cylinder during cocking of the hammer and to lock the cylinder against turning during firing of the revolver and when the hammer is in a forward position. A spring biased latch member is pivotally connected between its ends to the frame of the revolver so that one end of the latch is positioned adjacent to the lower side of the cylinder and is adapted to make releasable engagement with the cylinder. The other end of the latch is positioned close to one of the sides of the hammer. An actuating member projects from the hammer or hand and is adapted to strike the underside of the end of the latch during the initial cocking movement of the hammer and pivot the latch to release the cylinder for rotation. As the hammer approaches the fully cocked position, the actuating member escapes beyond the end of the latch member, so that the latch member moves into engagement with the cylinder and locks the cylinder in proper firing position. As the revolver is fired, the actuating member is biased to slide past the latch to again be in position to strike the underside of the latch during a succeeding cocking movement of the hammer.

摘要： The present invention relates to an extractor for a firearm which incorporates internal extraction to withdraw a cartridge from the chamber of the firearm. The extractor includes an outwardly extending lip for engagement in a cavity defined in the rear of the cartridge. The cavity includes an inwardly extending flange and the lip of the extractor is positioned behind the flange during extraction. The extractor includes a first pivot point about which the extractor rotates in order to allow the extractor lip to enter the cartridge cavity. The extractor also includes a second pivot point about which the extractor exerts a positive rotational force to extract the cartridge from the chamber.

摘要： A mechanical tight cartridge casing release of the invention is preferably for inclusion with a large cartridge rifle bolt and includes a pivot mounting of a rifle bolt arm or handle to the bolt whereby, after the arm or handle is moved to an unlocked position, an application of a force to the arm or handle end wil pivot that arm or handle relative to the bolt surface such that an arm or handle forward shoulder engages a surface of the rifle receiver producing a lever action and providing a mechanical advantage to the force applied by an operator or shooter that arm or handle to "break loose" the spent cartridge casing from the barrel chamber, with the bolt to then be moved rearwardly to where the casing is ejected. The relationship of the distance from the bolt handle end that is pulled by the operator or shooter to the arm or handle pivot and the distance from the pivot to the handle forward shoulder is selected to provide a desired mechanical advantage whereby a pulling force as is exerted through the arm or handle is increased to "break loose" the spent cartridge casing that will have expanded in the rifle chamber when the cartridge is fired.
