In one embodiment, the bolt head and inertia block are articulated so that the displacement of the bolt head results in a force component outside the firing axis of the barrel of the firearm. 摘要： A weapon for firing cased telescoped (CT) ammunition includes a barrel, a chamber member and a carrier assembly. The chamber member defines a chamber for a CT round for firing, and translates between a firing position aligned with the barrel and an ejection/loading position. The chamber member is spring-biased toward the firing position. The carrier assembly carries the firing pin and (1) performs a recoil in which a carrier and rammer move rearward from a battery position to bring the next CT round into a ramming position and to move the chamber member from the firing position to the ejection/loading position, and (2) performs a counter-recoil to return to the battery position and cause the rammer to push the next CT round into the chamber. The chamber member is released for biased return to the firing position for a next firing cycle.

摘要： A magazine for storing cased telescoped (CT) cartridges. The magazine includes vertically extending side-wall ribs that project inwards into a loading channel. The side-wall ribs are positioned in alignment with a circumferential groove in each CT cartridge. The side-wall ribs prevent a backwards oriented CT cartridge from being pushed from the loading position through the loading channel into a body of the magazine. A moveable lip at the top of the magazine may move out of the way when the magazine is attached to a firearm, to allow the CT cartridge located in the loading position to be fed vertically out of the top of magazine. Each CT cartridge may include a thermal protective insert that provides thermal insulation from heat emanating from a barrel of a firearm when the CT cartridge is located in a chamber of the firearm.

摘要： A gas-operated firearm with a lock housing, a guide rod projecting forward from the lock housing, as seen in the shooting direction, for a lock activation device, which is located so it can be displaced on the guide rod and which interacts with a lock for its movement between a locking position and an unlocking position, and a barrel with a gas withdrawal block fastened on the lock housing, which contains at least one gas withdrawal borehole that opens into the barrel, and a pressure piston that is guided so that it can be displaced in the gas withdrawal block for the displacement of the lock activation device against the force of a lock spring. A simplified installation and dismantling of the barrel can thus be made possible in that the barrel contains a rear part, which can be placed on the lock housing and can be firmly connected with it, and a front part, which freely projects from the lock housing, without a firm connection with the guide rod.

摘要： A mechanical tight cartridge casing release of the invention is preferably for inclusion with a large cartridge rifle bolt and includes a pivot mounting of a rifle bolt arm or handle to the bolt whereby, after the arm or handle is moved to an unlocked position, an application of a force to the arm or handle end wil pivot that arm or handle relative to the bolt surface such that an arm or handle forward shoulder engages a surface of the rifle receiver producing a lever action and providing a mechanical advantage to the force applied by an operator or shooter that arm or handle to "break loose" the spent cartridge casing from the barrel chamber, with the bolt to then be moved rearwardly to where the casing is ejected. The relationship of the distance from the bolt handle end that is pulled by the operator or shooter to the arm or handle pivot and the distance from the pivot to the handle forward shoulder is selected to provide a desired mechanical advantage whereby a pulling force as is exerted through the arm or handle is increased to "break loose" the spent cartridge casing that will have expanded in the rifle chamber when the cartridge is fired.

摘要： A breech block has, for each cheek of a breech ring, at least one bearing surface facing a rear of the breech. The bearing surface is adjustable to slide along a paired bearing surface of a matching bearing element of the cheek and bears on the paired bearing surface to transfer strain to the cheek generated during firing of a round. The bearing surface of the breech block and the paired bearing surface of the cheek of the breech ring face each other so that the plane of each of the matched bearing surfaces intersects a plane defined by the axis of the barrel and a horizontal line along a half-line terminating at the axis. The half-line defines an angle greater than 90.degree. with respect to the axis.
