    摘要： Apparatus for holding a disk-shape data carrier (6), e.g. a DC or a DVD, having a central aperture, the apparatus comprising a base portion (5), disk engaging means (1, 2, 4) for releaseably engaging the central aperture of the data carrier (6), having retaining means (1) for engaging and retaining the data carrier (6) on the apparatus and release means (2, 4) which, when pressed, releases the engagement of the retaining means (1) with the data carrier (6) so the data carrier (6) can be removed from the apparatus, wherein removable security means (7) are provided to inhibit actuation of the release means (2, 4) to prevent release of the data carrier (6).

    摘要： A security tag or device for use with a product package. The security tag has an optical sensor that is calibrated to an intensity of ambient radiation (or light, if any) within the package interior (e.g., from a source outside the package). The optical sensor can be aligned with an opening in the package to detect light. After calibration, a controller is used with optical sensor to determine changes in detected ambient radiation within the package, and rates of those changes. The security tag has an alarm adapted to provide an alert when a predetermined change in ambient radiation within a package is detected. Alternatively, the security tag can have an arm, with the optical sensor thereon, that extends from its housing for insertion into the package. A receiving opening can optionally be provided in the package for receipt of the arm.

    摘要： A method of making an injection moulded container for housing information storage media, e.g. a DVD, the container having a base portion (10) and a lid portion (11) moveable about a spine portion (12) between open and closed configurations and holding means (15) for holding the media within the container, the method involving the use of an injection moulding tool comprising two carrier units (40, 41) each adapted to receive a plurality of inserts therein which define a cavity for forming the container: a first set of the inserts (50-59) for forming a first set of features of the container being formed of a first material, e.g. steel, and a second set of inserts (42-45) for forming a second set of features of the container being formed of a second material, e.g a copper alloy, the first set of inserts (50-59) being machined to the required shape for fitting within the carrier units (40, 41) and for forming the first set of features and the second set of inserts (42-45) being machined so as to fit within the carrier units (40, 41) but one or more of the second set of inserts (42-45) being formed with excess material on surfaces thereof defining said second set of features pending a decision as to the precise shape of said second set of features, whereby once a decision has been made the tool can be completed by machining said excess material to the required shape and assembling the inserts in the mould.

    摘要： A beverage container for the storage of a carbonated drink comprising a container body (10) including an opening (11) and removable closure means (12) for closing the opening (11), the closure means comprising a foil (20) which provides a gas tight seal for the opening (11). The arrangement may be such that a tendency of forces acting on the foil (20) due to pressure within the container to separate the foil (20) from the container body (10) by peeling away therefrom is reduced e.g. by the provision of a collar (12A) to limit deflection of the foil (20) adjacent the bond therebetween and/or by the shape of the rim (15) of the container body (10), so the closure is capable of withstanding higher internal pressures than would otherwise be the case.
