摘要: The present invention provides an inkjet ink comprising: 5-40% by weight of an N-vinyl monomer selected from N-vinyl caprolactam, N-vinyl pyrrolidone, N-vinyl piperidone, N-vinyl carbazole, N-vinyl formamide, N-vinyl indole, N-vinyl imidazole, N-vinyl acetamide, and mixtures thereof, based on the total weight of the ink; one or more difunctional monomers in which the only radiation-curable functional groups present in the monomer are (meth)acrylate groups; 9% or less by weight of a monofunctional monomer, other than the N-vinyl monomer, together with a multifunctional monomer, based on the total weight of the ink; a radical photoinitiator; and a colouring agent. The present invention also provides a method of inkjet printing using the inkjet ink of the present invention and use of an N-vinyl monomer selected from N-vinyl caprolactam, N-vinyl pyrrolidone, N-vinyl piperidone, N-vinyl carbazole, N-vinyl formamide, N-vinyl indole, N-vinyl imidazole, N-vinyl acetamide, and mixtures thereof to increase the cure speed of an inkjet ink comprising one or more of difunctional monomers.

摘要: The present invention provides an inkjet ink comprising: 10-50% by weight of one or more monomers each having a log Poctanol/water value of 5.0 or more, based on the total weight of the ink; a photoinitiator package comprising one or more photoinitiators each having a log Poctanol/water value of less than 4.0, and one or more photoinitiators selected from (I) and mixtures thereof, wherein n is a value from 1 to 10 and a+b+c is a value from 1 to 20; and wherein the one or more photoinitiators each having a log Poctanol/water value of less than 4.0 are present in the ink in an amount of 0.5-4.5% by weight, based on the total weight of the ink. The present invention also provides a method of printing the inkjet ink of the present invention.

摘要: The present invention provides an inkjet ink comprising: 6-35% by weight of NVC; 5-60% by weight of PEA; 15-35% by weight of a C8.12 alkane diol di(meth)acrylate; a radical photoinitiator; and a colorant, wherein the percentages by weight are based on the total weight of the ink. The present invention further provides an inkjet ink set wherein at least one of the inks in the set, preferably all of the inks in the set, is an inkjet ink as defined above. Furthermore, the present invention provides a method of inkjet printing comprising inkjet printing the inkjet ink or inkjet ink set as defined above onto a substrate and curing the ink.

摘要: The present invention provides a method of multi-pass inkjet printing comprising: (i) providing an inkjet ink comprising a radiation-curable monomer and a photoinitiator; (ii) jetting the ink via a printhead on to a substrate, wherein the ink is applied in multiple passes of the printhead with respect to the substrate, with each pass jetting a portion of ink in a layer on the substrate, with a first layer being jetted directly on to the substrate and subsequent layers being jetted onto the preceding layer, to build an image formed of the multiple layers; and (iii) exposing all of the layers of ink to actinic radiation to cure the ink, wherein the order of jetting the layers and curing is that pairs of layers are applied to the substrate without exposing the first layer of the pair to actinic radiation prior to the second layer of the pair of layers being applied, curing the pair of layers simultaneously by exposing the pair of layers to actinic radiation, and repeating until the image is formed.
