摘要: An electronic oscillator of a circuit arrangement for creating microwave oscillations with two transistors as amplifier elements and with a resonator (4), wherein the resonator has two emitter impedance networks, the base impedance network and/or an emitter impedance network or both emitter impedance networks can be put out of tune and the transistors each have a parasitic base collector capacitance. The repercussion of the load on the electronic oscillator (“load-pulling”) is greatly reduced so as to be eliminated as much as possible, in that a compensation capacitance is switched between the collector of the first transistor and the base of the second transistor as well as between the collector of the second transistor and the base of the first transistor, and the compensation capacitances are implemented by reverse-biased pn-junctions.

摘要: A method of using of a level meter employing the radar principle, serving to measure the fill level of a medium in a container and incorporating an electric conductor system for conducting an electromagnetic signal into the container and returning reflected components of the electromagnetic signal from the container, the electric conductor system terminating at a predefined level in the container. In practicing the method a variation of the component of the electromagnetic signal reflected at the container-oriented end of the conductor system is utilized as an indicator of the attainment of the predefined fill level by the medium. This permits the detection of very small amounts of a medium for instance in the monitoring of drain pipes, spillway basins or leak-detection systems.

摘要: A process for operating a Coriolis mass flow rate measurement device, with at least one measurement tube (10) through which a medium flows and which is subjected to vibration excitation that leads to resulting vibrations of the measurement tube (10), a first indicator quantity being used for detection of a multiphase flow. For detection of the multiphase flow, an additional, second indicator quantity that is independent of the first indicator quantity is used. Thus, a process for operating a Coriolis mass flow rate measurement device (1) is attained with which the detection of multiphase flows, especially of two-phase flows, is reliably possible without the need to make assumptions regarding the properties of the individual phases of the flowing medium.

摘要: A measuring instrument, in particular a flow or level meter, includes a base module for the acquisition and processing of measured data and an add-on module. Both the base module and the add-on module feature an optical interface interconnecting the base module and the add-on module. The result is a measuring instrument which, by interchanging the add-on module, can be equipped with various external interfaces without requiring any recalibration of the measuring instrument.

摘要: A method for operating a magnetoinductive flowmeter of the type including a measuring tube through which flows an electrically conductive medium, at least two electrodes that are in direct conductive contact with the medium, and at least one magnetic field coil that serves to generate a magnetic field which permeates at least part of the medium and in which a predefined current is impressed between two electrodes that are in wet contact with the flowing medium, the voltage present between the two electrodes or between one of the two electrodes and another electrode that is in wet contact with the flowing medium is measured, and a resistance value is derived from the ratio of the impressed current to the measured voltage. This permits the determination and read-out of the conductivity of the medium flowing through the measuring tube, which constitutes an added benefit for the user of the magnetoinductive flowmeter.

摘要: A dielectric antenna with an electromagnetic feed element (2) and with a lens (3) made of a dielectric material, the feed element (2) emitting electromagnetic radiation (4) and the lens (3) being supplied with electromagnetic radiation (4) in the feed region (5), the lens (3) relaying the electromagnetic radiation (4) and radiating it with the transmission region (6). To configure these dielectric antennas such that the disadvantages of the dielectric antennas known from the prior art are at least partially avoided, first of all, the lens (3) is shaped essentially ellipsoidally at least in the transmission region (6) and the lens (3) is arranged relative to the feed element (2) such that the electromagnetic radiation (4) emitted by the lens (3) in the direction of maximum radiation (7) of the antenna has an essentially planar phase front.
