    摘要: A wall coupling restrains adjacent walls 2 and 3 from displacement over each other. The two walls have coincident apertures 12 and 16. A flexible moulded plastics retaining strip 5 is carried by the wall 2 on its side remote from the wall 3. The strip 5 overlies the aperture 12 and has an end 8 which is secured relative to the wall 2 and an end 7 which is slidable along tracks on the wall 2 in a direction towards and from the end 8. A mid-length region 6 of the strip 5 between its ends 7 and 8 has integral hinges 13 to 15 so that during displacement of the strip end 7 towards the end 8, the region 6 doubles to project through the apertures 12 and 16 and thereby couple the walls 2 and 3 to restrain them from relative displacement. A combination stop/catch can be provided to temporarily retain the strip end 7 in a position where the mid-length region 6 of the strip is in either a folded or an unfolded condition.

    摘要: A plastics container assembly has a tubular wall 1 and a bottom end cap 2 fitted thereto to form a base. The wall 1 has an internal flexible and integral peripheral sealing flange 7 which is displaced by abutment with a closure wall 2a during fitting of the end cap to the side wall so that an annular rib 8 on the cap snap engages with an annular groove 5 in the side wall. A flange 12 on the bottom cap overlies the bottom end of the side wall 3 and may be permanently bonded thereto by welding. The flange 7 presents a smoothly curved concave profile 13 and provides a smooth transition 14 with the closure wall 2a.Fluid seals are provided by abutting surfaces between the rib 8 and groove 5, between the flange 12 and bottom of the wall 1 and between the sealing flange 7 and wall 2a.In a modification the annular rib is located on the wall 1 to snap engage with an annular groove in the cap 2 and the sealing flange 7 is omitted so that the smoothly curved concave profile is formed by an upward extension wall of the bottom cap 2.

    摘要: A collapsible frame structure 1 for a rectangular retaining wall on a pallet 6 has an open top and an open bottom formed by side walls 3 and end walls 2. The end walls 2 are hinged at 4 to the side walls 3 and each end wall comprises two wall parts 2a, 2b which are pivotally connected by hinge members 12. The end wall parts 2a, 2b are displaceable inwardly between the side walls 3 so that the side walls and end wall parts are located in parallel planes to form a flat pack. The hinge members 12 are rigid and each has two pivotal connections, one on each wall part 2a, 2b so that when the structure is collapsed the hinge members accommodate for the thickness of the wall parts. When the structure is erect, flanges on the wall parts 2a, 2b abut the respective hinge members at positions thereof between the pivotal connections to restrain the wall parts from displacement outwardly from the rectangular configuration.Offset upwardly and downwardly extending flanges 8, 16, 17 serve to restrain the structure from horizontal displacement over a base 6 on which it is mounted and can retain two similar structures from horizontal displacement relative to each other when stacked as a column one on top of the other.The walls and hinge members are preferably moulded in plastics.

    摘要: A frame structure (1) having an open top and an open bottom is for mounting on a pallet (6) to form a plastics retaining wall. The side walls (2 and 3) of the frame have upwardly extending flanges (16, 16a and 17) at the top edge and downwardly extending flanges (7, 7a and 8) at the bottom edge. Two similar frame (1) are stackable, one on the other to extend the height of the wall with the downwardly extending flanges of the upper structure received between the upwardly extending flanges of the lower structure so that the flanges bridge both frames to restrain relative horizontal displacement therebetween. The flanges (7 and 16) have apically profiled edge parts (30) which snap engage between respective structures in forming the stack to restrain the upper frame from lifting relative to the lower frame. The frame strucutre may be collapsible to form a flat pack.
