    摘要: A method and apparatus for varying the flow of ink by differential adjustment at individual adjustment locations along the length of an ink metering device of a printing machine inking mechanism by a plurality of adjusting devices such as control motors, stepping mechanisms or the like, which are adjustable to differing extents by electronic control devices in accordance with variations in reference value presettings which are the same for all individually adjustable adjustment locations, using reference value-real value comparators which cause actuation of the adjusting devices, in which a reference value memory is provided for each adjusting device, and upon input of reference value variations the values of all reference value memories are multiplied by a selected predetermined reference value variation factor and the products of the multiplication are transmitted as new reference values to the reference value-real value comparator.

    摘要: This invention concerns a sheet gripper for sheet processing machines, especially for single- and multi-color printing presses of random printing processes as well as for numbering machines, coaters, folders, and similar apparatus. To permit interchange of one of several sheet grippers for another without removing the gripper spindle from the machine, the sheet gripper is formed with an open portion which encloses the gripper spindle through a maximum arc of 180.degree. and is fixedly retained in radially centered relation against the gripper spindle by a gripper lifter or carrier, also referred to as a drive dog, which is fixedly secured to the gripper spindle as by means of a screw or other removable fastener which extends through the drive dog or carrier and into the gripper spindle. A compression spring located to one side of the gripper spindle and an adjustment screw located to the opposite side thereof both cooperate with contact surfaces of both the sheet gripper and the drive dog to permit adjustment for centering of the sheet gripper.

The reference-value-setting means is provided with a respective input means for paper weight, sheet format and speed of rotation of the machine, and it is connected to or integrated with a computer which supplies to the reference-value-setting means the reference values in respect of all settings of the feeder, such reference values being empirically determined for each operating condition and stored in the form of a family or characteristics.

    摘要: Apparatus for adjusting the position of an ink blade at individual locations along its length, or the position of individual ink metering elements, relative to an ink ductor in a printing machine inking mechanism by rotatable set screws, having a position locking transmission between each set screw and the free end of the ink blade in the respective location or of the associated ink metering elements, for positively increasing or reducing the feed gap of the ink blade or ink metering elements which at its underside is fixedly connected to transversely extending pivot pins, in which each set screw is associated with a respective joint, having a pivot axis which extends transversely with respect to the set screw center line and parallel to the plane of the ink blade or ink metering elements, secured to one end of the associated set screw, which end, in use, projects out of an ink fountain into which the set screw is adjustably screwable and mountable, one end of a respective adjusting lever which is disposed approximately perpendicularly to the ink blade or ink metering elements being mounted pivotally and rotatably on the associated setting screw by means of the joint, while the other end of the lever is mounted pivotally on the respective pivot pin which is secured to the underside of the ink blade or ink metering elements.

    摘要: An inker and form roller unit for a printing press includes a continuously rotating fountain roller for carrying ink from a reservoir. A combi-roller is in constant contact with a distribution roller to deliver ink to rollers of the printing press. The combi-roller and distribution roller are supported by a swivel lever that can pivot about the rotational axis of the distribution roller. The swivel lever carries a cam roller for contact with a control body having two or more sections, one of which is for continuous film inking and the other section for intermittent inking. The combi-roller is positioned relative to the fountain roller by the control body so as to form either a continuous fluid transfer gap or an intermittent fluid transfer gap.

    摘要: The invention relates to a device for combining partial piles of book pages by laying one on another. The partial piles may be brought up alternately in an inclined position on a conveying chain. According to the invention, there is provided above the conveying chain a rotary rearranging apparatus. The rearranging apparatus carries a plurality of gripping systems each adapted to pick up one partial pile of book pages and, after rotation of the rearrangement apparatus through a 360 degree revoluion, deposits the partial pile of book pages beside an identical succeeding partial pile. During the 360 degree revolution of the rearranging apparatus, each gripping system is rotated about an axis parallel to the rotational axis of the rearranging apparatus such that the gripper systems continuously remain in an upright orientation with the grippers always projecting downwards at the lowest point of the gripping system. Before combination of any given partial pile of book pages with another partial pile, every such given partial pile may be rotated by the respective gripper system through 180 degrees about an axis extending at 90 degrees to the normal of the plane of the partial pile, and for this purpose every gripping system of the rearrangement apparatus is mounted so as to be rotatable about a vertical axis and, in a part of its orbital path of motion during the 360 degree revolution of the rearranging apparatus, is rotated through 180 degrees about this vertical axis.

In order to reduce the number of rollers required for a flexibly operating dampener unit, the dampener ductor of this invention also functions as a dampener vibrator or oscillating ductor, having in addition to a rotation drive, another drive mehcanism which effects an axial back and forth or reciprocating movement.
