摘要： A method for feeding sheets of paper comprises the following steps: providing a stack of papers on a storage surface of a paper feeding device, providing a flow of air for separating an uppermost sheet of paper from the rest of the stack of papers; determining the vertical position of the uppermost sheet of paper; adjusting the flow of air in dependence on the determined vertical position of the uppermost sheet of paper; and repeating the steps of determining the vertical position of the uppermost sheet of paper and adjusting the flow of air in dependence on the determined vertical position of the uppermost sheet of paper. During continuous operation, the flow of air is controlled in cycles with one part of the cycle, preferably the first part of the cycle, with a higher flow of air, and one part of the cycle, preferably the second part of the cycle, with a lower flow of air. By imparting the uppermost sheet of paper a pulsating movement up and down, the problems associated with electrostatic charging are mitigated.

摘要： A method is provided for transferring a sheet in a sheet transport assembly from a supplying conveyor to a receiving conveyor. The method comprises the steps of: arranging a contact side of a sheet in contact with a transport belt of the supplying conveyor; advancing the sheet on the transport belt in a transport direction along a process unit, which is arranged for applying a process to a process side of the sheet, the process side being opposite to the contact side, to a transfer area where the sheet is transferred to a receiving conveyor; controlling an air flow directed onto the process side of sheet for urging the sheet towards a supporting element, which supports the sheet during transport in the transfer area, thereby correcting a curl deformation of the sheet. The air flow is controlled in response to at least one sheet attribute comprising a media characteristic of the sheet, wherein said media characteristic defines a curl deformation behavior of the sheet.

摘要： A device for reducing rotation of an article during singulation of a stack of articles is disclosed. The device may include a torsion element, a rotatable member configured to rotate about an elongated axis of the torsion element between a first position and a second position, and a revolving member coupled to the rotatable member. An outer surface of the revolving member contacts a drive belt in the first position and an article in the second position. The torsion element exerts torque on the rotatable member when it moves from the first position towards the second position. The torque causes the outer surface of the revolving member to apply a frictional force to the article, thereby minimizing rotation of the article. Systems and methods of singulating articles are also disclosed.

摘要： A sheet processing apparatus for receiving and processing a sheet conveyed from an image forming apparatus, the sheet processing apparatus comprising: a discharging unit configured to discharge the sheet; a stacking unit configured to stack thereon the sheet discharged by the discharging unit; a blowing air unit configured to blow air along a direction parallel to a surface of the sheet being stacked; a first alignment unit having a pair of alignment plane opposed each other, the first alignment unit configured to align the sheet in a direction parallel to a discharging direction of the sheet; and a second alignment unit configured to align the sheet in a direction orthogonal to the discharging direction of the sheet, wherein the blowing air unit is provided at a position opposed to the alignment plane.
