摘要： A system and/or method is provided that manages delivery of power for a device and an additional device. The system can include a device that consumes power to refrigerate an item stored therein, wherein the device includes an eutectic plate and an additional device that consumes power. The system can further include a power source that is configured to deliver power and a power manager component that is configured to monitor a temperature within the device. The power manager component can further be configured to activate the power source to deliver power to the device to reach a set temperature, switch the delivery of power from the device to the additional device based on the set temperature being reached, and maintain the set temperature in the device by switching delivery of power from the additional device to the device based on monitoring the temperature.

摘要： An immersion water heater particularly suitable for use in connection with animal watering buckets includes a housing fixed to an end of an electrical conduit and locatable on the bottom of a watering bucket. A U-shaped metallic sheathed heating element projects from the housing into a protective shield comprising plates secured to opposite sides of the heating element by spool-shaped insulator posts received between the legs of the heating element. A temperature sensing member is attached has one end attached to the heating element exteriorly of the housing and a second end extending into the housing. A thermostat and a thermofuse are located in the housing in heat exchange engagement with the second end of the temperature sensing member, whereby in the absence of water around the heating element and temperature sensing member, heat is rapidly transmitted from the heating element through the member to the thermostat and thermofuse to deenergize the heating element.

摘要： A water volume indicator for an animal waterer which includes a balance beam of substantial mass which supports a water receptacle such that when water is removed the balance beam will pivot to open a valve to allow water to be fed into the bowl and which has a switch which is actuated by movement of the balance beam to close a circuit to actuate a timer such that the time that the valve was opened to add water can be determined. This allows the operator to determine how much water has been removed from the bowl by the horse or other animal and thus the amount of fluid intake by the animal is determined.

摘要： A water consumption meter for animals allowing a precise measurement of fluids entering an attached water vessel. The materials and design of the meter allow the meter to endure freezing events and function properly after such freezing events. The meter has internal vanes set at a particular angle that contribute to a more accurate measurement of the liquid being consumed by the animal. The water consumption meter can include a rotational member with angled vanes that assist in a more accurate measurement of the water entering and exiting the meter.
