Abstract: A sensor assembly that includes a substrate and a set of sensors. The set of sensor includes pressure sensor and/or flow sensors located across a surface of the substrate. Each respective sensor of the plurality of sensor is adapted to measure a respective pressure or a respective flow of an environment proximate the respective sensor. Each respective sensor of the plurality of sensor may further be adapted to output a respective signal associated with the measured respective pressure or the measured respective flow. The respective signals associated with the measured respective pressure or the measured respective flows measured by the plurality of sensor together provide a pressure distribution across the surface of the substrate and/or a flow distribution across the surface of the substrate.

Abstract: A flow meter for measuring the flow rate or volume of a fluid includes a flow tube shaped to define an internal passageway through which the fluid travels, a set of transducers coupled to the flow tube in fluid communication with the internal passageway, and a core module coupled to the flow tube. The core module comprises a cup-shaped enclosure shaped to define an interior cavity and a top cover mounted on the enclosure to enclose the interior cavity. A disc-shaped partition separates the interior cavity into an upper compartment which receives a printed circuit board assembly and a lower compartment which receives a power supply assembly and a connector assembly. Separating the interior cavity into distinct compartments allows for different waterproofing techniques to be utilized based on the sensitivity and lifespan differential between the various electrical components, thereby minimizing the use of potting material and facilitating component replacement.

Abstract: An electronic sensing and allocation system is provided for a distributed water infrastructure containing a plurality of differing appliances. The system may receive, from at least one sensor upstream of the plurality of differing appliances, a plurality of signals indicative of water usage within the distributed water infrastructure. The system may output a first indication of a first volume of water together with an indicator attributing the first volume of water to a first rate schedule, and output a second indication of a second volume of water together with an indicator attributing the second volume of water to a second rate schedule. The system may enable billing of the first and second volumes of water to a consumer at differing rates based on differing uses.

Abstract: A system that controls the flow rates of a plurality of split channels provided parallel to each other to a certain flow split ratio includes: a flow split ratio calculation unit that, in order to be able to diagnose whether a system abnormality that affects the flow split ratio is occurring, calculates a ratio of output values of flow rate sensors obtained by allowing, while fluid control valves of different split channels are closed, fluids to flow in these split channels as an actual flow split ratio; a reference flow split ratio storage unit that stores a reference flow split ratio serving as a reference for the actual flow split ratio; and an abnormality diagnosis unit that compares the actual flow split ratio and the reference flow split ratio, and diagnoses a system abnormality.
