摘要: Provided is an optical fiber ferrule polishing jig capable of fixing an optical fiber ferrule and releasing the optical fiber ferrule. An optical fiber ferrule polishing jig 10A has; a base 12a having insertion holes 20 into which optical fiber ferrules 51 can be detachably inserted; pivoting rods 13 which are adjacent to the insertion holes 20 of the base 12a and rotatable around lower end portions 36; fixing pieces 14a installed in installation recesses 19a formed in the base 12a to fix the optical fiber ferrules 51 with respect to the insertion holes 20 by being moved as the rods are pivoted; and a plurality of coil springs 15a installed in the installation recesses 19a to bias the fixing pieces 14a so as to release fixing of the optical fiber ferrules 51 with respect to the insertion holes 20.

摘要: The present invention provides an end face polishing device capable of improving a polishing accuracy by polishing an end face of an optical fiber ferrule with adjusted polishing pressure. An end face polishing device 1 for optical fiber ferrule for polishing an end face of an optical fiber ferrule by applying a polishing pressure between a polishing plate 5 driven by a polishing drive shaft and an optical fiber ferrule held by a holding portion 9. The end face polishing device for optical fiber ferrule has: a bearing portion for allowing the polishing plate 5 to rotate relatively around the polishing drive shaft and to move relatively to the polishing drive shaft in an axial direction; a polishing plate guide supporting portion 31 for movably supporting the polishing plate 5 on a base portion 3 to apply the polishing pressure to the holding portion 9 by allowing the polishing plate 5 to move in the axial direction; a pressing drive source 15 for adjustably outputting a driving force to apply the polishing pressure; and a pressing force transmission mechanism 21 for transmitting the driving force output from the pressing drive source 15 as a pressing force in the axial movement direction of the polishing plate 5.

摘要: An optical waveguide 1, an optical waveguide 2 are formed on a substrate 3 to be crossed with each other, modulator electrodes 11, 12, 13 and 14 are arranged along the optical waveguides 1, 2, and antennas 21, 22, 23, 24 (i.e., square patch antennas having an approximately same shape) are arranged around four corners of the square shape. The modulator electrode 11 is energized from the antenna 21 and the antenna 22, the modulator electrode 12 is energized from the antenna 24 and the antenna 23, the modulator electrode 13 is energized from the antenna 21 and the antenna 24, and the modulator electrode 14 is energized from the antenna 22 and the antenna 23. The light wave propagating through the optical waveguide 1 is modulated by an electric field of Y-direction, and the light wave propagating through the optical waveguide 2 is modulated by an electric field of X-direction.

摘要: A resin molding is provided. The resin molding includes an optically transparent plate-shaped portion which consists essentially of a single material and which includes a first surface having a smooth surface portion, and a second surface having plural convex portions. Each of the plural convex portions includes a first inclined surface having a concavo-convex portion thereon; and a second inclined surface having a smooth surface portion. The concavo-convex portion allows at least part of light incident from the first surface to cause total reflection, diffraction and interference and to travel toward the smooth surface portion of the second inclined surface, and the smooth surface portion selectively reflects visible light in a predetermined wavelength range toward the first surface, so that when the first surface of the resin molding is observed from outside, the resin molding has a colored appearance with at least one color in addition to a metallic appearance.

摘要: In a duplex optical connector plug 10A, when one of first and second optical connector assemblies 11a, 11b is rotated around its axis in a clockwise direction or a counterclockwise direction, a rotational force of one of first and second gears is transmitted to the other of the gears by an intermediate gear. Thereby, interlockingly with the one of the optical connector assemblies 11a, 11b, the other of the optical connector assemblies 11a, 11b is rotated around its axis in the clockwise direction or the counterclockwise direction which is the same direction as the optical connector assemblies 11a, 11b.

摘要: An optical connector assembly and an optical connector adapter with a shutter each provide better heat radiation performance by blocking light outputted from a first optical fiber held by a first optical connector plug with a shutter thereby controlling temperature of an adapter body of the optical connector adapter not to exceed a prescribed level even when light having optical high power is outputted from the first optical fiber for about 15 minutes. An countermeasure against the light having optical high power is provided in a side wall of one of first and second receiving holes to be irradiated with the light outputted from the first optical fiber toward the second receiving hole and reflected thereafter by the shutter plate disposed in one of the first and second receiving holes.
