摘要:
A spinning process provides for opening at least one sliver to single fibers and for depositing the single fibers on a moving collecting surface in the form of an expanded fiber veil. During transport on the collecting surface and, if required on a moving drafting surface downstream thereof, the fiber veil is condensed, transversely to its direction of motion, to a strand. The roving-like strand is transported through a nipping line and twisted to a yarn under the action of a rotating air stream. Fiber ends are hereby spread out from the strand, which are helically wrapped around the yarn.

The fiber sliding surface and the fiber collecting groove of an open-end spinning rotor are provided with hard particles embedded therein. After a certain length of operation time of the spinning rotor, the particles in the fiber collecting groove have a larger particle size than the particles in the fiber sliding surface. Thus it is ensured that the fiber collecting groove has a better "grip effect" relative to the fibers to be spun than the smoother fiber sliding surface.

An open-end spinning rotor has a fiber collecting groove which is provided with fine roughenings. The fiber collecting groove includes additional profilings whose peak-to-valley height is at least five times the peak-to-valley height of the roughenings. This arrangement results in an improvement in yarn quality.

An upper spindle part of a textile spindle for spinning or twisting machines comprises a sleeve made of a thin-walled metal tube and produced by cold press molding. A spindle shaft is inserted into the sleeve. The sleeve comprises a drive wharve formed in one piece therewith. The sleeve is produced by stretch forming and provided with at least one take-up surface for the insertable spindle shaft. The upper part of a spindle can thus be produced cost-effectively and with a high level of precision.

A spindle for a spinning or twisting machine comprises a guiding tube, which supports a neck bearing and a step bearing for a rotatably supported shaft. In proximity to the neck bearing, the guiding tube is supported by means of a metal membrane in a bearing housing, which is connectable to a spindle rail. The membrane is relatively rigid in radial direction; however, with respect to tilting motions of the guiding tube, it is very flexible. In the area of the step bearing, the guiding tube is supported against the bearing housing by means of a radial spring.

In the case of an open-end spinning machine, a suction roller is provided which serves to transport a fiber veil, expanding transversely to the circumferential direction of the suction roller, to a yarn formation line. The length of the transport path and the width of the fiber veil are determined by defining edges of a suction insert located inside the suction roller. At least one of the defining edges extends at least along a section of the transport path at an acute angle to the circumferential direction. Thus the fiber veil is widened in comparison to the sliver-shaped fed fiber material and/or the fiber tip at the beginning of the yarn formation line is shortened.

In a process in open-end spinning at least one sliver is opened into single fibers. A transfer surface, rotating at a higher speed than the opened single fibers, takes up same already in the opening area. The single fibers are taken along transversely to the rotational direction in the form of an expanded fiber veil. Before completion of one revolution of the transfer surface, the single fibers are transferred to a yarn forming line of a twist device, which, for example, comprises a friction roller pair, and are withdrawn, under the action of an imparted twist, along the yarn forming line thus forming a yarn. The yarn withdrawal takes place hereby transversely to the rotational direction of the transfer surface. The withdrawal speed corresponds at least to the speed of the single fibers as they arrive at the yarn forming line.

In a process in open-end spinning at least one sliver is opened into single fibers. A collecting surface, rotating at a higher speed than the opened single fibers takes up these as soon as they have left the opening area. The single fibers are taken along by the collecting surface while being expanded transversely to the rotational direction of the collecting surface in the form of a fiber veil. Before the completion of one revolution of the collecting surface, the single fibers are withdrawn from the collecting surface along a collecting line under an imparted twist thus forming a yarn, namely transversely to the direction of rotation of the collecting surface. The withdrawal speed corresponds hereby at least to the arrival speed of the single fibers at the collecting line.

For the monitoring of the lap formation in the case of delivery bottom rollers of drafting units, sensing elements are provided which, when a lap is formed, as a result of the enlarged diameter at the delivery bottom roller, are moved radially away from this delivery bottom roller. The sensing elements are used as switching elements for an electric circuit to which a number of sensing elements, and preferably all sensing elements of the spinning machine, are assigned. When a lap is formed, the assigned electric contact is opened by the shifting movement of the sensing element so that the electric circuit is interrupted. The interruption of the electric circuit causes the triggering of a signal.

A spinning arrangement in which the working elements for the processing of fiber material are arranged within an adjustable climate-controlled zone. The climate-controlled zone can be adjusted in such a manner that the fiber material fed to the working elements has the tendency to supply humidity to the ambient air of the climate-controlled zone. Before the feeding, particularly when deposited in a can or on a roving bobbin and/or on the transport path to the working elements, the fiber material is surrounded by air whose climate differs from the climate in the adjustable climate-controlled zone of the working elements. During the processing, the fed fiber material and the working elements are each in a different climatic condition that is optimal for the processing.
