摘要： A paint brush having a handle with an integrated hanger that is pivotably movable between a retracted position for stowing the hanger within a groove of the handle, and an extended position for extending the hanger outwardly from the groove to hang the paint brush on an object. When stowed in the retracted position the hanger may be flush with an outer surface of the handle to enhance the ergonomic design. The hanger and groove may be configured to enable ease of deployment of the hanger from the retracted to extended position simply with a one-handed operation. The portion of the handle having the groove may be made of a flexible material which may better secure the hanger in the groove when stowed and/or may facilitate installation of the hanger. The handle may include a grip portion having the flexible material which is over-molded onto a rigid head portion.

摘要： Locking mechanisms for releasably connecting handle extensions to tool handles having either compatible lock engaging end portions or standard internally threaded sockets include an adaptor mounted on an outboard end of a handle extension, the adaptor including an extension pole tip with circumferentially spaced thread segments axially insertable into tool handle sockets having compatible lock engaging end portions and threadably connectable to tool handles having standard internally threaded sockets. Means are provided for preventing relative rotation between the adaptor and tool handles having compatible lock engaging end portions when the extension pole tip is fully inserted into the tool handle sockets and for preventing inadvertent pull out of the extension pole tip from the tool handle sockets.

摘要： A system for preparing a surface for painting, staining, or other treatment is provided. This system includes a surface preparation material and an optional dispenser for dispensing the surface preparation material. The surface preparation material includes a single-layer or multi-layer substrate material or fabric; a sanding portion formed on the substrate, wherein the sanding portion further includes at least one abrasive substance deposited thereon or embedded therein; and a wiping portion formed on the substrate separate from the sanding portion, wherein the wiping portion further includes cleaning means for removing debris created by the sanding portion from the surface to be painted, stained, or otherwise treated. The cleaning means may be one or more dry textured regions or areas formed on the substrate or it may be one or more sticky or tacky regions or areas formed on the substrate.

摘要： Quick release lock mechanisms for releasably connecting an extension pole to a tool handle include an adaptor attached to an end of the extension pole having a smooth cylindrical outer end portion axially slidable into and out of an internally threaded bore in the tool handle. A bearing support is provided for the cylindrical outer end portion when fully inserted into the bore. Also, a non-rotatable connection is provided between the adaptor and tool handle when the cylindrical outer end portion is fully inserted into the bore to prevent relative rotation therebetween, and a releasable latch prevents the cylindrical outer end portion from being withdrawn from the bore unless released.

摘要： A merchandising system for paint brushes and the like characterized by open-top shipping cartons each having a removable top cover and a wire frame within the carton having a base member retained against the bottom wall of the carton and a plurality of pegs extending generally perpendicular from the base member in spaced apart relation for supporting a plurality of brushes from each of the pegs. To display the brushes, the top cover is removed from the cartons and the cartons are inserted in a bracket which supports the cartons at an angle relative to an upstanding panel member with the brushes hanging downwardly at such angle from such pegs.

摘要： Flat pad applicator includes a base member having a pair of laterally spaced apart tapered pins between which the hub portion of a handle is snapped into position for rotatably mounting the handle on the base member. The hub portion has a plurality of circumferentially spaced indexing notches in the outer periphery thereof which may be selectively engaged by an indexing locking rib carried by a cantilevered tongue on the base member for releasably locking the handle in any one of several angularly adjusted positions. The pad assembly itself includes a backing plate made out of a magnetic material to permit a magnet to be used for easy attachment and removal of the pad assembly from the base member for cleaning and/or replacement.
