    摘要: A hoof shoe formed in situ and a method for building a hoof shoe, such as a horseshoe, of an intended shape in situ are disclosed, including cleaning the surface of the shoe area of horse hoof of debris, extruding onto the cleaned hoof surface from a common mix tip communicating with separate reactive resin precursors in first and second chambers a flowable horseshoe preform comprising an intimate curable mixture of reactive resin precursors at a profile depth and width generally conforming to the intended horseshoe shape, adhering the mixture to said shoe area surface, rapidly curing the mixture to a non-flowable mass by reaction of said resin precursors, and locally shaping the horseshoe mass to modify its extruded profile to a final intended horseshoe shape on the surface.

    摘要: Horse hoof protection against thrush conditions is obtained by depositing onto the horse hoof bottom wall a synthetic organic resin such as a urethane resin through which a medicament that does not block cure of the resin has been, distributed for continuing hoof wall contact. The resin is suitably free flowing into place, conforms to the contours of the hoof bottom wall, and adheres to the wall when cured. The protection by the resin is resilient and softer than the hoof wall and acts to cushion the hoof against shock.

    摘要: Horse hoof protection is obtained by incorporating a synthetic organic resin such as a urethane resin in the volume defined by the horse hoof bottom wall, suitably covered with a web fixed to the hoof bottom wall that is adhered to said resin. The resin protection is suitably free flowing into place, conforms to the contours of the hoof bottom wall, and adheres to the wall when cured. The protection by the resin is resilient and softer than the hoof wall and acts to cushion the hoof against shock.

    摘要: A method of treating a hoof of an ungulate animal. The method comprises coating one or both of (i) at least a portion of a bottom surface of the hoof or (ii) at least a portion of a block surface with a curable polymer and allowing the polymer to cure for a period of time. The polymer is cured within 60 seconds or less of the coating and the cured polymer has a Shore D hardness of about 10 to about 50. The curable polymer is provided as a two component system. The first component is a reaction product of (a) comprises 4-4′-diphenylmethane-diisocyanate, castor oil, isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane, and glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane, and wherein (b) comprises dicyclohexylmethane-4,4-diisocyanate, polyether polyol, 4,4′-diphenylmethane-diisocyanate (MDI), and triethoxy(3-isocyanatopropyle)silane. The second component comprises polyoxypropylene oxide ether polyol, diol (2000 MW), polyxoypropylene oxide ether polyol, triol (450 MW), tetrahydroxypropylethylendiamine, metaxylenediamine, and organobismuth catalyst.
