摘要: A system with an earpiece that comprises a rechargeable earpiece power source and a case that is configured to interface with the earpiece in an earpiece power source charging configuration and comprises a case power source that is configured to recharge the earpiece power source. A detection circuit, located in part in the earpiece and in part in the case, includes at least one earpiece electrical contact that is configured to electrically couple to at least one case electrical contact when the earpiece is interfaced with the case in the earpiece power source charging configuration. The detection circuit is configured to detect, using the earpiece and case electrical contacts, whether the earpiece is interfaced with the case in the earpiece power source charging configuration, even if one of the earpiece power source and the case power source does not have power.

摘要: Noise cancellation systems and methods are provided that generate an anti-noise signal configured to destructively interfere with noise in a cancellation zone. The systems and methods receive a signal representative of the noise in the cancellation zone. The signal is analyzed to identify a frequency to be reduced in the cancellation zone, and the signal is down converted to place the identified frequency at baseband. A baseband anti-noise signal is generated based upon the down converted signal. The baseband anti-noise signal is up converted to the identified frequency to produce an anti-noise signal having components at the identified frequency, and the anti-noise signal is provided to be transduced into an acoustic signal.

摘要: The technology described in this document can be embodied in a vehicle seat that includes a seat headrest portion for supporting the head of an occupant, and a seat backrest portion for supporting the back of the occupant in a seated position. The backrest portion includes an enclosure for receiving at least a portion of an acoustic transducer. The vehicle seat also includes an acoustic channel having a first end that is configured to be fitted around a driver of the acoustic transducer in an acoustically sealed configuration, and a second end. The second end is opposite the first end and disposed at a location closer to the seat headrest portion than the seat backrest portion. The acoustic channel is configured to radiate acoustic energy from the acoustic transducer through the second end.

摘要: An earphone includes a loudspeaker, a microphone, a housing supporting the loudspeaker and microphone, and an ear tip surrounding the housing and configured to acoustically couple both the loudspeaker and the microphone to an ear canal of a user, and to acoustically close the entrance to the user's ear canal. A processor receives input audio signals from the microphone, detects peaks having a frequency of around 1 Hz in the input audio signals, based on the detected peaks, computes an instantaneous heart rate, measures a frequency of an oscillation within the instantaneous heart rate, and based on the frequency of the oscillation, computes a rate of respiration.
