    Abstract: A method for contour punching an output stack consisting of sheet-like material and a punching device for carrying out the method Includes providing at least two punching procedures. A large proportion of an unprinted region is separated from a printed region in a first punching procedure and a first punching waste produced thereby is collected separately, whereby the quantity of the second punching waste which is formed in a second punching procedure is significantly less than if only a single punching procedure were to be carried out. By collecting the first punching waste and the second punching waste separately, it is possible to provide this waste in each case for appropriate disposal or appropriate recycling.

    Abstract: A device for applying a flowable substance to at least one substrate includes an applicator nozzle in the form of a slotted nozzle which has a stationary nozzle body with an inlet opening, a flow duct, and a nozzle slot, wherein the flowable substance is delivered through the applicator nozzle and passes from the inlet opening into the flow duct and from there to the nozzle slot, and is discharged through an outlet opening of the nozzle slot that is arranged in an outer region of the nozzle body, wherein the applicator nozzle further has a slide valve movable relative to the nozzle body in the longitudinal extent of the outlet opening and contacts the outer region of the nozzle body for modifying the covering of the outlet opening. The longitudinal extent of the flow duct is at least as great as the longitudinal extent of the nozzle slot.

    Abstract: A putting cup includes an exterior housing configured to be disposed within a putting hole on a putting green and an interior core configured to be removably disposed within the exterior housing. The interior core defines an interior compartment for housing at least one electronic component and at least one battery for powering the electronic component. A first pair of charging contacts are provided on the interior core for being electrically connected to a second pair of charging contacts provided on a charger to charge the at least one battery with the interior core removed from the exterior housing. The at least one electronic component may include a printed circuit board (PCB) and at least one light-emitting diode (LED) of a predetermined color electrically coupled to the PCB. A dimmer circuit may be provided for periodically interrupting electrical power to the at least one LED to extend the battery life.

    Abstract: A device for melting adhesive having a melting grill that has a multiplicity of passage openings, and heating elements, wherein the melting grill is heatable by the heating elements and melted adhesive heated by the hot melting grill is dischargeable through the passage openings, the melting grill on that side thereof that faces the adhesive to be melted having ribs. The melting grill has rotatable rods that are disposed beside one another and ribs that are disposed on the rods, the rods and the ribs being heatable by the heating elements, wherein ribs of adjacent rods are aligned so as to be directed toward one another, and the passage cross sections of the passage openings between the rods are modifiable by rotating rods of the melting grill. The device enables varied forms of delivery of solid adhesive to be melted at a high specific melting rate without the adhesive thereby being subjected to damage due to excessive thermal stress.
