摘要: An assembly and method of forming a press cutting die that includes a cutting blade that is supported by a blade support assembly or blade support. The blade support includes a first base portion and a second base portion that are each contoured to cooperate with one another to capture a portion of the cutting blade along an interface between the first and second base portions. Preferably, one or more keys extend between the first and second base portions and traverse the geometric plane associated with the cutting blade. Such a press cutting die is particularly applicable for cutting biologically compatible materials having a desired shape from a bulk source of the biologically compatible material.

摘要: Disclosed are pliers and related methods for punching a hole in a non-flat material without distorting the material. Such pliers may comprise a first member having a first handle and a first jaw, and a second member having a second handle and a second jaw. The first and second members are attached at a connection point to permit pivoting in response to a squeezing force on the handles. The first jaw comprises a punch tip to be received by the second jaw, where the punch tip may have an angled distal end truncating a cross-section of the punch tip. The second jaw comprises a shaped edge facing the punch tip and extending along a length of the second jaw, the shaped edge having substantially the same shape as the non-flat material and comprising an opening having substantially the same shape as the cross-section of the punch tip and to receive the tip therein.

摘要: An apparatus of making perforations along which a package can be smoothly ripped includes a housing and a driving mechanism. Below a top wall of the housing, a top plate operatively is coupled to the driving mechanism. A blade assembly holding plate is attached to the bottom side of the top plate. Below the perforating blade assembly holding plate, there is provided a pressure plate including a base layer and a rubber layer, so that the blade holding plate is interposed between the pressure plate and the top plate. The pressure plate is formed with a slit extending therethrough in its thickness direction. Below the pressure plate, a loading plate is formed with a slit extending therethrough in its thickness direction and on which a film sheet can be loaded. Below the loading plate, a base plate is fixed to a bottom wall of the housing.
