    Abstract: Herein are novel tools for splitting wood and material handling. Disclosed is a vehicle supported wood splitter comprising a blade portion and a fixation portion extending from the blade portion. The blade portion comprises a generally upward facing cut edge situated between a primary deflector face and a secondary deflector face and in one embodiment at least a portion of the fixation portion is sized and shaped to be received in a hitch receiver of a vehicle. In other forms, the blade portion comprises a ball space for seating over a hitch ball. In some forms, the splitter is in the form of a jack stand. Also disclosed is a complementary kindling collection system, a guide system, and splitter device adapted to one or more of casting, machining, and welding. Several methods of use are also disclosed.

    Abstract: Garage door opening systems commonly include lighting generated from lower wattage bulbs mounted to an electric operator near a garage ceiling. This lighting is inadequate to fully illuminate a garage space particularly at the floor level. Since vehicles park under the light, the vehicle can become a blocker of light. Disclosed are garage door opening systems including a safety eye light which integrates a light source into the safety eye of a garage door opening system thereby providing additional illumination to poorly lit areas of a garage. This additional source of lighting helps assure users safer home to vehicle ingress and egress. In some forms, the lights in the safety eye light are fixed, in other forms the lights are adjustable in direction. Various methods of integrating a safety eye light into a garage door opening system and use of the safety eye light are disclosed herein.

    Abstract: The article of invention is referred herein as a prime polygon reflector. In its various forms it is a device of predetermined geometric shape with aspects and scalable dimensions derived from a prime number and its mathematical square root. Geometric shapes based on the prime polygon have reflective surfaces that cause multiple internal reflections of incident waveform energy. When used in conjunction with absorptive media, coatings, or linings, the waveform energy is forced to pass through absorptive media multiple times, thereby increasing effectiveness of the media, coating, or lining. Prime polygon reflectors as disclosed herein produce waveform reflections that are non-inverted by causing an even number of internal reflections. Applications include but are not limited to acoustic, solar, and radar energy absorption.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for providing input to a vehicle control system to navigate, position and direct a vehicle, by use of a gesture sensing device. The gesture sensing device may be in the form of: a remote, a mobile computing device such as a smartphone, a tablet or smart-watch, or a direction/motion sensor. The vehicle control system with gesture sensing device is useful for the control of radio controlled vehicles, drones and driver and driverless vehicles. In preferred embodiments, the vehicle control system with gesture sensing device is used to control GNSS/GPS enabled electric steer trolling motors, such as motors utilizing the ProNav® Angler, Rhodan® HD GPS® Anchor, Minn-Kota® IPilot, and the MotorGuide® Pinpoint.

    Abstract: Disclosed are novel forms of operable and fixed windows capable of at least one or more of: producing an electrical current utilizing a transparent or semi-transparent solar collecting coating or film on a pane, and selectively changing one or more of opacity and tint of one or more electrochromatic layers in the window. Some embodiments also disclose a robust scaffold assembly utilized to enclose the perimeter of the substrate and one or more transparent solar cells or electrochromatic layers, or transparent solar cells and electrochromatic layers. Various structural and electrical configurations are disclosed to satisfy the kinematic demands of operable windows. Wired and wireless configurations of the windows are contemplated as are self-powered versions whereby the transparent solar collector powers the electrochromatic function.

    Abstract: Disclosed are sealing apparatuses used in conjunction with corrugated roofing around chimneys, vents, solar tubes, and other structures protruding through corrugated roof or siding. In one embodiment a specialized gasket comprising gasket ribs having a profile that matches a chosen corrugated sheet metal barrier is utilized. A transition barrier hole is cut into the corrugated sheet metal barrier and then the hole is used to cut a transition gasket hole in the gasket. A sealant is used between the gasket and mating parts to create a seal about the transition vessel to prevent roof leaks. In some embodiments, the gasket is in the form of gasket plugs which may be trimmed and utilized to plug and seal the corrugations surrounding a transition barrier hole in a corrugated sheet metal barrier.

    Abstract: Embodiments of various ergonomic carts for metal forming operations and methods of use are enclosed. Each ergonomic cart eases transport of a machine tool between a machine tool storage rack and a manufacturing machine. Some forms of the ergonomic carts comprise an elevator portion to adjust to various machine and storage rack heights. Some cart embodiments include a tumbler mounted to a superior portion of a cart for rotating a machine tool in space for movement between a storage configuration and a load configuration. Various forms of tumblers are described and illustrated. Each tumbler comprises a punch channel which is rotatable within said tumbler portion between a superior facing position and an inferior facing position. In other embodiments, a clamp rack system offers a convenient method to store press clamps.
