    摘要: A crawfish harvest system and method of harvesting crawfish from a crawfish pond, without entry into the pond by personnel or boats. A crawfish trap deployment and retrieval unit is positioned by a crawfish pond. One or more crawfish traps are attached to a main line, which is engaged with the deployment and retrieval unit and runs into the crawfish pond and around one or more turn points in the pond, forming an endless loop of main line. The crawfish traps can be deployed into and retrieved from the crawfish pond by the deployment and retrieval unit pulling the main line, without personnel, boat or other entry into the pond.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for casing recovery in which a clean-up of the inside of the outer casing above the inner casing is performed on the same trip in the wellbore as cutting and pulling a section of the inner casing. A bottom hole assembly including a spear, a casing cutter and at least one clean-up tool is described. An embodiment of a clean-up tool being a jetting sub which can jet fluid radially to wash the outer casing and selectively allow fluid to pass through the sub at different pressures is described. The jetting sub can be used to control operation of other tools in the bottom hole assembly such as the casing cutter and a hydraulic jack.

    摘要: A release mechanism for separating sections of mooring lines has a main body with two separable first and second halves or sections. A hydraulic assembly within the main body is controlled by an acoustic system, and moves a rod and button so as to move locking shoes within the main body. The locking shoes hold the first and second sections locked together, or alternatively release them to disconnect the mooring line. In addition to the acoustically controlled hydraulic assembly, the release mechanism has a mechanical disconnect, which is operated by pulling the release mechanism into a chain fairlead or the like, or by pulling an encircling member such as a trigger sleeve into the release mechanism. The release mechanism may include instrumentation to transmit various operating conditions of the release mechanism when in use.

    摘要: Method and apparatus for removing a section of well tubing. The well tubing (24) is milled in an upward direction on a hydraulic tensioning device (14) which maintains a constant load on the section mill so that long sections of tubing can be removed in a near continuous procedure on a single trip into the well. The hydraulic device includes an indicator (30) to provide a signal as the device nears each end of a stroke to inform a user that: the section mill is about to bottom out and the work string needs to be raised to extend the device; and the device is fully extended and can begin another stroke. Embodiments are described for use in a rigless well abandonment procedure.

    摘要: A method for providing a well injection program in which injection testing is performed on an existing well which is intended to be an injection well in a field development. Water is injected into the well in a series of step rate tests or injection cycles, the data is modelled to determine thermal stress characteristics of the well and by reservoir modelling the optimum injection parameters are determined for the well injection program to provide for maximum recovery. The thermal stress characteristics are those that would previously have been obtained from core samples when the well was drilled. Further wells on a development can be tested and the individual thermal stress characteristics of each well combined in the reservoir model for optimized field development.

    摘要: An abrasive blasting system has an abrasive container or pot, preferably with a downwardly conically shaped interior bottom surface. A slurry delivery tube is positioned within the pot, with an open bottom end positioned at an operative distance above the bottom of the pot. The slurry delivery tube runs vertically upward and exits the pot, ultimately running to a hose and nozzle. With an abrasive slurry of solid particulate abrasive media and water inside the pot, air pressure is applied within the pot. When a relatively lower pressure is created in the slurry delivery tube, the resulting pressure differential moves the slurry downward within the pot, then upward through the slurry delivery tube, through the hose and ultimately to the nozzle, where it is directed by an operator onto a workpiece. The system is especially useful when using very fine abrasive material.

In an embodiment the sleeve (16) is morphed onto the ends of the tubulars (12, 14). The connector may also have a profiled inner surface with circumferential grooves (266) and a sectioned locating groove (90) to provide axial and torsional load bearing capacity.
