    摘要: A method of designing a digital filter for example for use in an FBMC/OQAM telecommunications system, with a target overlapping factor and meeting a specified signal to interference ratio is described, whereby a candidate filter design defined by an impulse response, satisfying the Nyquist criterion and having an overlapping factor higher than the target is selected, and the time and frequency coefficients of its impulse response inverted to define a new filter design; andtruncating the impulse response defining said new filter design to the minimum number of coefficients achieving said specified signal to interference ratio.

    摘要: According to various embodiments, an FRC fusion reactor is disclosed. The FRC fusion reactor includes a main chamber containing an FRC core and an energy and ash removal shell (EARS). The FRC fusion reactor further includes at least one divertor chamber connected to the main chamber via a divertor throat. The divertor chamber includes a plasma extruder positioned on a major axis of the FRC fusion reactor and a controllable distance along the major axis from the divertor throat. The plasma extruder has a diameter approximately ½ a diameter of the divertor throat and is configured to block plasma flow towards the FRC core to create a gap region between the FRC core and the EARS.

    摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide a decoder for decoding a signal received through a transmission channel in a communication system, said signal comprising a vector of information symbols, wherein the decoder comprises: a processing unit (307) configured to determine at least one candidate set of division parameters and to perform a division of said vector of information symbols into a set of sub-vectors in association with each candidate set of division parameters, each pair of sub-vectors being associated with a division metric; a selection unit (309) configured to select one of said candidate sets of division parameters according to a selection criterion depending on said division metric; and a decoding unit (311) configured to determine at least one estimate of each sub-vector associated with said selected set of division parameters by applying a symbol estimation algorithm, wherein the decoder is configured to determine at least one estimate of the vector of information symbols from said at least one estimate of each sub-vector of information symbols.
