    摘要: A method and a device used for remote control by optical fiber signals and power over Ethernet includes a power sourcing equipment (PSE) outputting a direct current (DC) via at least one network cable to at least one powered device (PD). When the PSE receives a second restarting signal from a signal controller, the PSE stops supplying power to the at least one PD. An optoelectric signal converter converts an optical signal from an Ethernet Switch to a digital signal for the signal controller. When the optical signal is determined by the signal controller to be interrupted after a first time duration passes, the signal controller outputs the second restarting signal to the PSE for restarting. After restarting, the PSE re-powers the at least one PD. The at least one PD is restarted remotely without requiring working personnel at the location of the at least one PD, improving restarting efficiency.

    摘要: A hot swapping protection device for Power over Ethernet which has a state setting switch group, an interface circuit, a power supply device, a packet switching controller, multiple isolation coil sets, and multiple connectors. The packet switching controller receives a digital state value P2 of the interface circuit and a digital signal P1 of the state setting switch group and bitwise compares P1 and P2 so as to output a command to control the DC voltage outputs of the power supply device. The power supply device has a digital power controller and an analog power controller having multiple voltage output terminals for providing DC voltages to the multiple connectors. Before removing a cable connected to a connector, all voltage output states of the voltage output terminals corresponding to the connector are set to a cutoff state, so that sparks generation can be avoided during subsequent cable plug-in and unplugging.

    摘要: An Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE) is equipped with a power sourcing equipment (PSE) supplying a direct current (DC) voltage to a powered device (PD) through Ethernet cables, and an Ethernet switch which includes a packet switching controller including a central processing unit (CPU) controlling the ON/OFF states of at least one pair of DC voltage output and the onset of an initialization process of the PSE; the Ethernet switch further includes a non-volatile memory storing a firmware which provides a reboot process of the CPU such that when the UPS powered by PoE is undergoing the reboot process, the PSE can continue to supply the DC voltage. A first parameter PersistentPoE and a second parameter PPoE_flag are used for setting the ON/OFF states of DC voltage output of PoE.

    摘要: A rated power supply system powered by PoE receives power from external power sources and supplies power to PDs. The system connects with PDs through PoE output interfaces. The system has a PoE analog controller to turn on/off of the output power of all the PoE output interfaces. The PoE analog controller also detects the output current of all the PoE output interfaces. The system has a packet switch controller, a power state detecting circuit and a voltage conversion circuit. The voltage conversion circuit merges the power received from external power sources to generate a first voltage. The CPU calculates an output current upper limit based on the first voltage. The CPU gets a total output current from the PoE analog controller. If the total output current exceeds the output current upper limit, the CPU will turn off the PoE output interfaces according to power output priorities of the PoE output interfaces.
