    Abstract: An implant resection system for preparing an implant site to replace a defect in an articular surface of a first bone includes a guide configured to be coupled generally perpendicular to the first bone proximate to the defect. The guide includes a body portion defining a plurality of excision passageways. The excision passageways each define a generally cylindrical core pathway configured to extend generally perpendicular to the first bone which partially overlaps with an adjacent generally cylindrical core pathway. A projection associated with each of the plurality of the generally cylindrical core pathways defines a truncated cylindrical excision site extending through a portion of the articular surface. Each truncated cylindrical excision site partially overlaps with at least one adjacent truncated cylindrical excision site.

The cannula has a first end, a second end, and a channel extending between the first end and the second end through which a penetrator can move between a retracted and an extended position substantially without rotation of the penetrator. The cannula has a primary portion and a distal portion between the primary portion and the second end, with the distal portion configured such that the distal portion and/or the second end of the channel is disposed at a nonparallel angle relative to the primary portion, for example, with a curve between the primary portion and the distal portion. The penetrator is configured to flex around such a curve and/or to flex to align with the angle of the send end of the channel and/or the distal portion of the cannula.

    Abstract: This disclosure includes apparatuses for simultaneous delivery of a fastener and an implant; systems including at least one of the present apparatuses, a seal assembly, and a cannula; caddy systems configured to receive a fastener and/or an implant for use with the present apparatuses; kits including at least one of the present apparatuses or systems and at least one of the present caddies; and methods of simultaneously delivering a fastener and an implant with the present apparatuses. The present apparatuses include an elongated body, one or more spikes at a body distal end of the body, a hub configured to receive a proximal portion of the body, and a handle coupled to the hub. The body defining a body recess in a peripheral surface of the body at point that is offset from the body distal end, and a body passage extending between a body proximal end and a body distal opening within the body recess. The apparatus further includes an elongated pusher and a slider coupled to a proximal end of the pusher, the slider configured to move longitudinally relative to the handle from a retracted position to a deployed position to move the pusher distal end longitudinally away from the body distal opening and laterally outward from the body.
