摘要： The invention relates to a hair styling appliance (100, 100′, 100″) comprising at least one heater (103, 104) having a plurality of heating zones (Z1-Z5). The heating zones are independently operable arranged along the length of the heater. The sequential arrangement of the independently operable heating zones helps to improve the thermal control of the hair styling appliance. The hair styling appliance may be a hair straightener, curling tong, curling wand or a crimping iron.

摘要： A system is provided for heating a comestible. The system includes a container and a flexible vented package containing a liquid, semi-solid or liquid/solid combination comestible. The package is positioned within the container in a manner that hinders the comestible from escaping through the package's vent(s). The container is penetrable to microwaves and is adapted to not experience heat-induced damage when subjected to a heating cycle in a combination microwave and convection oven. The container is adapted to protect the package from heat-induced damage when the container is subjected to a heating cycle in a combination microwave and convection oven.

摘要： A gas compressor, such as a rotary vane one, for a refrigeration system is equipped with a supplementary inlet. By this gas in the liquid phase is injected into the compression chamber and reduces the temperature of the vaporized coolant gas as it is being compressed. This liquid gas is tapped from the normal refrigeration circuit. It can also be used, prior to injection, to cool oil circulated over the motor by a pump which the motor drives as well as the compressor.
