Abstract:
The invention relates to a cereal-based bar composition of the chewy type, comprising a cereal part and a binder part, wherein the binder part comprises a vital wheat gluten composition. The invention furthermore relates to a method for preparing a cereal-based bar composition of the chewy type, wherein the cereal-based bar composition comprises a cereal part and a binder part, wherein in order to produce cereal-based bar composition according to any one of the preceding claims, the method comprises the steps of dry mixing a cereal part and a vital wheat gluten composition forming part of the binder part; adding a plasticizer composition forming part of the binder part to the dry mixture and mixing sufficiently in order to distribute the plasticizer composition homogeneously; shaping and cold pressing the homogenised mass, and—conditioning the shaped and pressed mass, until a stable cereal-based bar composition structure is obtained.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for preparing natural fibre-based composite materials containing natural binders and powdery proteins, comprising the following steps; adding a powdery protein adhesive binder to natural fibres having a moisture content of 1 15%; mixing the natural fibres together with the powdery protein adhesive; adjusting the moisture content of the composition to 6 24% w/w; and submitting the mixture to a heat pressure treatment to form the natural fibre-based material.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an antimicrobial composition of monoanhydro-hexitol monoalkyl ether isomers bearing an alkyl ether radical (OR) at C-3, C-5 or C-6 of the monoanhydro-hexitol, in which the alkyl group (R) is a linear or branched, cyclic or noncyclic hydrocarbon-based group comprising between 4 to 18 carbon atoms. The invention also relates to a method for disinfecting a surface and/or equipment contaminated by bacteria, said method comprising applying to said surface or equipment to be disinfected, a composition according to the invention.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an agglomerate composition, comprising a liquid and a protein powder, at least one of the two ingredients being thermoreactive, and the composition not being cross-linked due to a thermoreaction, wherein the molecular size distribution of the composition is essentially the same as the molecular size distribution of the ingredients. The invention further relates to a process for preparing an agglomerate protein composition comprising a powder and a liquid, at least one of the two ingredients being thermoreactive, wherein the ingredients are mixed in a mixing device wherein the mixing leads to an evenly distribution of the liquid in the powder, and the mixture is subsequently subjected to an ageing process in an ageing device wherein the ageing particles do no come into contact with each other.
