    摘要: A load monitoring system for wind turbine blades utilizes optical fibre strain sensors (5) moulded into the turbine blades. A sensor monitoring instrument is located in the hub (3) of the turbine. Various arrangements of cabling are disclosed to maximize fault tolerance. Various arrangements of a temperature compensation device for the strain sensors is also disclosed. The strain sensors (5) and optical fibre (7) may be provided on a pre-cured patch (9) for incorporation in the structure of the turbine blade. Furthermore, it is disclosed that each blade comprises an optical fibre strain sensor and a cable to connect the sensors to processing equipment, wherein each such cable includes a connector at each end whereby each blade can be replaced independently. Also, it is shown to provide an output connector for connecting the sensor to processing equipment in a cavity that is filled with a material for inhibiting free movement of the output connector.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a device comprising a fibre-reinforced part and including at least one system comprising at least one optical fibre as well as connecting means adapted for connection of light emitting means and light receiving means to the optical fibre, said optical fibre comprising a number of reflecting structures. One object of the invention is to provide means suitable for use in providing compensation for temperature change in strain measurement, which may be built into fibre-reinforced parts of a device. This is obtained by having holding means adapted to hold one or more loops formed on the optical fibre, in a way where at least one loop may substantially freely change length when subject to a change in temperature.

    摘要: A wireless transmitter for generating and transmitting wireless signals comprises a main unit and a plurality of auxiliary units, each having an outer casing and a fastening mechanism for connecting the casing of each auxiliary unit to that of the main unit. The main unit includes a signal generator for generating a plurality of carrier signals simultaneously and an interface for transmitting a carrier signal to each of the auxiliary units when connected thereto. Each auxiliary unit comprises a power amplifier and an optional upconverter, and a connector for connecting an antenna thereto. The signal generator of the main unit is configurable to generate different predetermined waveforms which are received through a communication interface. The transmitter unit is portable and a coupling mechanism is provided to lock the transmitter onto a backpack support.

    摘要: An apparatus for reducing baffle vibration includes a baffle that is subject to vibration. A first transducer that is seated in the baffle includes a first diaphragm that is acoustically coupled to a listening area in a vehicle and also acoustically coupled to a cavity in the vehicle. A first input signal applied to the first transducer causes the first diaphragm to move in a first direction, thereby generating an acoustic output. A second transducer is mechanically coupled to the first transducer. The second transducer includes a second diaphragm that is acoustically coupled to the first diaphragm and also acoustically coupled to the listening area. A second input signal applied to the second transducer causes the second diaphragm to move in a second direction that is substantially opposite to the first direction to reduce a vibration imparted to the baffle while substantially maintaining the acoustic output.
