    摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for determining an indication of a nonlinear property of the formation. A sonic tool is used in a borehole to generate a signal having multiple cycles of a wave of a predetermined frequency. The amplitude of a tube wave resulting from the signal is measured. The measured amplitude is then used to determine an indication of the nonlinearity of the formation according to a relationship which relates the measured amplitude to the amplitude of a second harmonic tube wave which is generated in the borehole by the tube wave of the predetermined frequency due to the nonlinear property of the formation. The indication of nonlinearity may then be utilized to give an indication of the relative consolidation of the formation surrounding the borehole.

The peg receptacles traverse into the base panel and are used to form mounting holes into which the socket-receiving pegs are inserted. The socket-receiving pegs are rods that support the socket heads of a socket wrench set. The user is able to create unique storage arrangements by inserting the socket-receiving pegs into the peg receptacles which are distributed across the base panel. The ratchet holder is a mounting system that enables the user to store the ratchet of the socket wrench on the socket tray.

    摘要: Disclosed an acoustically transparent material including an acoustic wave steering material, and methods for fabrication and use thereof. The materials are specially designed structures of homogenous isotropic metals. These structures are constructed to propagate waves according to Pentamode elastic theory. The metamaterial structures are two-dimensional, intended to propagate acoustic waves in the plane in a manner which closely emulates the propagation of waves in water. The acoustically transparent materials described herein have particular utility as acoustic wave steering materials and acoustic cloaks.
