摘要: The invention relates to apparatuses for a reversible pet spiral staircase. Embodiments of the invention comprise: a “bottom tread storage platform member”; a plurality of “tread platform members”, elevated above the bottom storage platform member; a “center leg support member”, and a plurality of “outer leg support members”, which support the tread platform members; and a helical “skirt board railing member” that supports the tread platform members and traverses the perimeter of the apparatus. Embodiments of the invention are capable of being configured in either the “left-hand spiral configuration”, or the “right-hand spiral configuration. Embodiments of the invention allow the apparatus to be self-supporting; reversible; space-saving; compactable for storage; safe for pet elevation; easily assembled; reconfigurable; and environmentally safe.

摘要: A novel motor belt drive mechanism which rotates a mouse or other toys to amuse, occupy, and entertain pets. The device is battery powered with a switch which can be turned on and off to attract a cat or other pet. The device has a low profile, thereby making it difficult to tip over. The device is battery operated and has no exposed dangerous voltage wires for pets to chew on. The device may be mounted in virtually any plane and in rotation may be allowed to animate other suspended devices for further variation. The rotating toy device may be locally or remotely manually oscillated to cause an erratic changing field of direction and at the same time allowing direct inter-action pet entertainment for elderly, disabled and persons with impaired senses.

摘要: An entertaining exercise toy device, animated to stimulate all the natural playful instincts of a cat and that of a furniture footstool for the owner. The pet exercising toy footstool is comprised of a electrically animated mouse like creature suspended inside a simulated mouse hole, a replaceable drape curtain, an interior access sanctuary for the cat and a stool footrest for the owner. The device electrically animates the mouse in a random life like manner from virtually any location and may be operated by a remote control for use by the elderly, handicapped and people with impaired senses. The device operates in three modes automatic, interactive and inert. The unit can be activated to the on condition by the pet or operator and will turn itself off after an adjustable preset time delay. The animated toy is battery operated in a very low adjustable voltage range of 6 vdc for maximum safety and the unit may safely be left unattended. Cats are, by nature, playfully mischievous and like to chew on exposed cords. This device has no exposed high voltage cords tying it to the potentially dangerous house current.

摘要: The invention relates to apparatuses for a reversible pet spiral staircase. 摘要: A novel safety device for step ladders. This safety device is fabricated and positioned so as to deter, dissuade and deny the ladder user access to the unsupported top step of a step ladder while allowing the user to an aloft tool organizer for pre-loading job materials thereby eliminating the need to repeatedly climb up and down the ladder carrying materials. More people are killed doing construction work every year than in any other occupation and falls are the biggest killer of employees in the construction industry, many of these falls involve the improper use of ladders. Falls are the leading cause of death in and around the home, according to the National Safety Council, there are thousands of people die from falls around the home each year and many suffer disabling injuries many of these also involve ladders. At work or at home, these accidents invariably occur because the victims violate the basic rules of ladder safety.

摘要: A method of forming a pyrolytic boron nitride (PBN) article and an article having layers of PBN separated by layers of PBN having a dopant of sufficient concentration to induce peeling, the steps of introducing vapors of ammonia and a gaseous boron halide in a suitable ratio into a heated furnace reactor to cause boron nitride to be deposited in layers on a substrate, with at least one gaseous dopant injected into furnace at controlled periodic interval(s) such that at least two selected layers of boron nitride are doped with said gaseous dopant(s) at a minimum average concentration of 0.1 atomic wt % at a depth ranging from 1000 to 2000 angstroms in each selected layer, and with the selected layers spaced apart about 0.1 micron to 100 microns.
