Abstract: The imaging apparatus of the present invention can display both real-time images received by an image pickup device and an image(s) recorded on a recording medium at the same time on a display part. The image(s) recorded on the recording medium and to be displayed is selectively switched between image data selected from a recording part in accordance with a shooting instruction and image data selected from the recording part in accordance with an instruction other than the shooting instruction.
