Hydrofoil blades are attached to the mounting element by a mounting device which allows the blades to extend in such longitudinal direction and further allows for spacing of such blades relative to each other in a variably selective dimension measured transverse to such longitudinal dimension. Spacing can be manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic.

    摘要： A paper drying apparatus to dry a paper web carried on a fabric sheet includes a first rotatable drum to carry a paper web. A second rotatable drum is positioned downstream of the first drum with respect to the paper web carried by the first and second rotatable drum. A third rotatable drum is positioned downstream of the second rotatable drum to carry the paper web. A first air supply directs air through the first rotatable drum in a first direction to dry a paper web carried on the first rotatable drum. A second air supply supplies air through the second rotatable drum in a second direction opposite to the first direction. A third air supply supplies air through the third rotatable drum in the first direction. The first direction is one of a direction from an inside of a respective drum toward an outside of the respective drum and from the outside of the respective drum toward the inside of the respective drum.

As the fabric sheet conveys the paper web around the first rotatable drum, a drying air is applied to the paper web in a direction from the inner perimeter of the first rotatable drum toward the outer perimeter of the first rotatable drum, further passing through the paper web. As the fabric sheet and paper web proceed around the second rotatable drum, a drying air is applied to the paper web in a direction from the outer perimeter of the second rotatable drum toward the inner perimeter of the second rotatable drum, further passing through the paper web in a similar direction.

    摘要： A paper drying apparatus and method therefor including an infrared drying unit and a vacuum unit, wherein the infrared drying unit emits infrared radiation in a direction toward the vacuum unit. A fabric sheet for carrying a paper web is provided, wherein the fabric sheet passes between the infrared drying unit and the vacuum unit. The infrared drying unit is positioned on the side of the fabric sheet adjacent to the paper web and the vacuum unit is juxtaposed on the opposite side of the fabric sheet from the infrared drying unit, wherein the vacuum unit draws air through the paper web in a direction from the infrared drying unit toward the vacuum unit. The combination of the infrared drying unit with the vacuum units provides a compact arrangement which efficiently removes moisture from the paper web. After passing by the infrared drying unit, the fabric sheet then conveys the paper web toward a final drying drum where the paper web is transferred from the fabric sheet to the final drying drum through the use of a pressure roll.
