    摘要: An imaging apparatus includes a carrier housing having an attachment feature, a carrier belt to transmit a translation to the carrier housing in a bi-directional scanning direction; and an interface device interposed between and coupled to both the carrier housing and the carrier belt. The interface device includes a body having a wing and a base. The wing is defined by a span and by a chord length. At least one of the wing and the base is mounted via the attachment feature to the carrier housing. The span extends in the bi-directional scanning direction, and the chord length is substantially perpendicular to the span.

    摘要: A printhead carrier includes a body defining a receptacle for receiving a supply cartridge. The body includes a front portion, and a rear portion spaced from the front portion. The rear portion has a latch opening. A cover is provided having a first end configured for pivotal attachment to the front portion of the body. A latch arm has a proximal end attached to the cover. A distal end of the latch arm includes a latch lip. The latch lip engages the latch opening in the rear portion of the body when the cover is in a closed position. A release mechanism is coupled to the rear portion of the body. The release mechanism includes a cam for engaging the latch lip of the latch arm to force the latch lip out of the latch opening when the release mechanism is moved from a latch position to a latch release position.

The method includes the steps of identifying a disturbance frequency of a disturbance source; identifying a natural frequency of a printhead carrier system; correlating the disturbance frequency of the disturbance source and the natural frequency of the printhead carrier system to a base carrier velocity; selecting a first carrier velocity for printing in a first direction, the first carrier velocity being different from the base carrier velocity; and selecting a second carrier velocity for printing in a second direction, the second carrier velocity being different from the base carrier velocity and different from the first carrier velocity.
