摘要： A latch assembly configured to attach to a door includes one of a knob and a lever. The latch assembly further includes a latch extending from the door. A spindle is rotatable from a first position to a second position to move the latch from an extended position to a retracted position. A first biasing member is selectively operable to bias the spindle toward the first position. A second biasing member is selectively operable to bias the spindle toward the first position. An actuator is movable between a knob position in which only one of the first biasing member and the second biasing member biases the spindle toward the first position and a lever position in which both the first biasing member and the second biasing member cooperate to bias the spindle toward the first position.

摘要： A locking mechanism for a door includes an outside actuator, an inside actuator, and a housing removably fixed to the door. A locking bar is selectively engageable with the housing. A first cam member is operable to move the locking bar from an unlocked position wherein the locking bar is released from the housing and a locked position wherein the locking bar is fixedly coupled to the housing. A spindle is rotatably coupled to the inside actuator and selectively coupled to the outside actuator. A second cam member is coupled to the first cam member and to the spindle and operable to move the locking bar from the locked position to the unlocked position in response to rotation of the inside actuator from a neutral position to one of a first clockwise position and a second counterclockwise position.

The lock cylinder includes a housing that has a cavity, and a plug assembly that has a casing and a plug housed in the casing and rotatable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The plug is operable to interact with the latch bolt assembly, and the casing is disposed within the cavity. The lock cylinder also includes a spin ring member that at least partially encloses the housing, and an adapter that is configured to be installed in the opening of the door and that includes a spin ring interface engaged with the spin ring member. The adapter further includes a shield portion extendable into the opening of the door, and the spin ring interface and the shield portion are formed as a single piece.

摘要： A combination door latch and deadbolt assembly that has first and second configurations for use with a door having a deadbolt aperture and a latchbolt aperture spaced by either a first vertical distance or a second vertical distance. The second vertical distance is less than the first vertical distance. In the first configuration, an insert slide is connected to an interconnect slide for vertical movement with the interconnect slide and the interconnect slide is operably connected to a deadbolt assembly via the insert slide. The insert slide and interconnect slide are movable vertically to move a deadbolt from an extended position to a retracted position in response to movement of an interior actuator from a first position to a second position. In the second configuration, the interconnect slide is operably connected to the deadbolt assembly without the insert slide.
