Abstract:
A telephone comprises a first body part with a first keypad and a second keypad located on opposite sides of the first body part, and a second body part having a display. As the first body part is swiveled to bring the second keypad to the front of the phone the processing circuitry may switch over to only accept input from the keypad that has been brought up. This input is used to control the applications currently running.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ad-hoc group call made from a subscriber device of a communications system. A list of subscribers is stored in a phonebook application in a subscriber device. A user can activate a group call and select two or more subscribers from the phonebook. In response to such selection, the subscriber device provides appropriate signalling with a group communication service in a network infrastructure for establishing an ad-hoc group call consisting of the selected subscribers and the user of the subscriber device. The ad-hoc group is deleted when the call ends.
Abstract:
Group communication service is becoming more and more popular in communications systems. The users of the group communication would benefit especially from summarized group information. A member of a group comprising at least two members can receive the summarized group information by subscribing to information on other group members; wherein information on the group is summarized at least on the basis of current information on at least one other group member whose information was subscribed to; and by showing the thus obtained summarized group member information to the member.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a method, and a corresponding apparatus, for maintaining the settings of a user equipment, comprising: monitoring at least one stored setting in the terminal; responsive to a change in said at least one stored setting notifying a controller; and responsive to said notification selectively resetting said at least one stored setting.
Abstract:
Different kinds of telecommunication systems exist, the systems supporting different kinds of messaging service message structures. In order to enable sending of a message from a sender (TS) in a first system (1) having a first structure for messages to a receiver (GS) of a second system (2) having a second structure for the messages, a bearer independent protocol is utilized (12) in the transmission of the message.
