摘要: A method of changing the activity of hexokinases in a plant sink comprising introducing into the plant a gene encoding a fungal hexokinase. In the method, the gene is expressed in the plant seed tissue to produce the protein, thereby changing characteristics of hexokinase activity in the seed of the plant.

摘要: Polynucleotides useful for improvement of plants are provided. In particular, polynucleotide sequences are provided from plant sources. Polypeptides encoded by the polynucleotide sequences are also provided. The disclosed polynucleotides and polypeptides find use in production of transgenic plants to produce plants having improved properties.
