摘要: The present invention relates systems and methods of electromagnetic protection for integrated video and electromagnetic detector security system equipment. A security system configured to be protected from electromagnetic events or attacks includes a quantity of video cameras and a quantity of electromagnetic event detectors disposed at a facility. The system also includes an electromagnetically-shielded cabinet containing computing equipment and a storage media. The electromagnetically-shielded cabinet is configured to receive data from each of the quantity of video cameras and electromagnetic detectors and store the data on the storage media, whereby, in the event of an electromagnetic event, information at the time of the event can be preserved on the storage media. Additionally, the electromagnetic detectors can trigger the video cameras to scan the surrounding area once an electromagnetic event has been detected such that images of suspicious vehicles, persons, packages or other items can be recorded for future forensic investigations.

摘要: A mobile scanning system and methods for inspecting contents of a container. Multiple detector plates are arrayed along an arcuate member coupled to a conveyance with wheels, capable of road travel. A source generates high-energy penetrating radiation that irradiates each of the detector plates from a single position. The arcuate member is disposed, during the course of operation of the system, in a vertical plane. The system has one actuator for rotating the arcuate member about a horizontal pivot into a horizontal plane, and a second actuator for further rotating the arcuate member, once rotated into the horizontal plane, about a vertical pivot, so that the arcuate member is contained, for purposes of transport, entirely within a volume defined by a rectangular prism that does not extend horizontally outward from the conveyance beyond any of its wheels.

摘要: A dynamic fin system (DFS) achieves fin rotation passively via water flow so that no direct active control of fin rotation is required by the watercraft operator. The DFS, using a combination of fin rotation via at least one axle and resistive forces applied to a fin mounting tab, provides an assembly in which a fin can pivot from side to side in a reliable, effective and simple way. The DFS provides ease in turning and stability at a neutral position while minimizing the amount of flow resistance. The DFS provides a strong fin mounting, and uses a combination of an axle for rotational control, a resistive centering force, and a force preload for stabilizing the fin in the neutral position. The DFS provides a mount for a rotating fin in a watercraft hull that supports repositioning of the rotating fin axis both forward and rearward in the hull.
